5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting
This book should be called Zoey needs to make up her mind.Or better yet, Problems with the Passmores.Zoey is being very annoying. At first, she doesn't like lucas pressuring her for sex. Then she gets upset when he doesn't pressure her for sex.Zoey get a grip.I don't even know where to begin with Benjamin, except for pathetic.I understand him being disappointed about the surgery; Hoever, he has no right to shut out Nina.Especially, since he took something from Nina that she will never get back.He is being self centering and shallow. I not even going to start on Aaron.

5-0 out of 5 stars don't tell zoey

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Winner
Applegate has done it again! Book 13 is just as good, if not better, than the other books in this series. Benjaman is in deep depression over the fact that his eye operation didn't work out, and Nina can't seem to cheerhim up. An old family friend, Kate Levin, is coming to stay at Lucas' houseuntil the situation with her dorm clears up. Zoey is definitely not likingthe VERY pretty redhead. Claire is deleriously happy over her relationshipwith Aaron. Things are going great between them... and she has a surprisefor him on Valentine's Day. However, things fall apart for more than justone couple on what should be a romantic evening. Watch out, because Don'tTell Zoey ends with a bang! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Eleventh Book in the Making Out Series
For supposedly being a book about 19-year-old Benjamin Passmore (one of my favorite characters in the Making Out series), "Ben Takes a Chance" seldom revolves around him. Instead, it follows the various love problems brewing among the other Chatham Island teens. For starters, Zoey Passmore was found making out with Aaron Mendel in "Nina Shapes Up" (#10) while she was still dating Lucas Cabral (major dj vu here; remember her cheating on Jake McRoyan at the beginning of this series in "Zoey Fools Around"?). Next is Aisha Gray and Christopher Shupe. He's recently proposed to Aisha and has been pressuring her to give him a yes or no answer before he ships out in January. (He's in the army.) Personally, I don't think they should marry, but we'll see.4-0 out of 5 stars Claire and Aaron belong together
Aaron is quite sneaky. He wanted that confrontation between himself and Lucas to take place.Lucas is so blinded by the anger that he doesn't see it.However, I am sure that Claire knows what it really going on for she plays games more than a little bit.5-0 out of 5 stars Ben
This whole series is great!I finish each book in about 2 1/2 hours.I can't put them down! And Ben is by FAR my favorite character! If you haven't,I definately suggest reading these books. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Argh.
I had been reading these books since they had their original covers (if y'all had been reading this series when they first came out, you know what I'm talking about) and it wasn't called "Making Out," the series was called Boyfriends/Girlfriends.She quit writing them for quite a few years and then, one day, I wanted to see if anymore had come out and there were a bunch of new ones. I was so excited! But, now I'm a little upset that I even started reading them again because KA decided to stop writing them again.Hopefully, she's just taking another break like she did before.Honestly, I was reading these books at probably 12 or 13, then again when I was about 21 (when she wrote the new ones....I think), and I'd buy #29 now (at 24) if she'd write it.I swear if she wrote more that I'd be all about buying it, even if I was 30.I love fluff reading....when you read scientific journals and textbooks all day long, you need a little fluff! It's great stuff!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great series, but 28 should not have been the last
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series, and how the characters developed. It made me remember when I was a teenager, with all the joys and sorrows that come with growing up.However, 28 should not have been the last book.KA could have went at least to 30.4-0 out of 5 stars Great Book but Flawed
First thing I have to say is I am really disappointed and mad that KA decided to end the series on book #28. She could have written a lot more! I will really miss reading about Zoey, Lucas, Nina, Benjamin, Claire, Paolo, Christopher, Aisha and all the others. Now back to this book. For starters I think this book was a great book. However this book wasn't a very good book for ending a series. It left so many things unanswered that it drives me crazy! Here are some:Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Story yet gets even interesting
K-Berger and Jake in AA. Christopher gone to the Army. Aaron and Claire hook-up.It just keeps going and going.I really enjoy these characters; because they are easy to relate to.I really had hoped Benjamins vision would be restored, that would really raise the stakes of this storyline.

5-0 out of 5 stars IT'S BLOODY MARVELLOUS
This book is one of Applegates best. The character truly develop into the people we can only hope really exist. It was smashing!

5-0 out of 5 stars It Was Great
These books are really great. My friends use to make fun of me for reading them but once I got them to read one they have read the whole series so far.The books are so great that sometimes I think I live on the islandtoo!I got hooked.I recommend these books to any teenagers. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Aws0me bo0k.
I just want to say "Making Out" is my favroite series, and if Katherine Applegate ever stopped making "Making Out" book's, I'd die. Anyways I'd only read half of the book, but it is really good so far, Lara is gettin pissed at Kate cause she likes Jake. Zoey (ughhh) and Lucas are gettin futher apart, Claire and Aaron are tryin to get there parents to brake up. I just wanna say., that I think Claire and Laucas should get back together, they were a good couple.=]

5-0 out of 5 stars A Book To Be Read
In found this book to be full of emotions. Lara was really having a tough time over the Jake ordeal and with Jake liking Kate this is becoming impossible. It is SOOOOOOOOOO obviousthat the relationship between Lucas and Zoey is falling to pieces. Thenthere's the decessed relationshipbetween Nina and Benjamin.Ireally thought that Clare and Aaron were verycruel to their parents but i wouldn't want to give anything away. I reallyand truely thought this was a very good book like many of KatherineApplegate's book

5-0 out of 5 stars A must read book!!!!!!!
I'm not going to give away TOO much, but I DO have some comments. I really want Aaron and Claire to get back together. Even if he is an @$$hole, their still made for each other. It's also totally obvious that she's going toconfess about the letter. You can tell that Zoey and Lucas are going tobreak up for the millionth time. They break up and make up in every book.I'm wondering whether Aisha is going to choose Christopher or David.(Idon't really care) But if she does choose Christopher, her past"experiences" with Jeff are going to haunt her. It's also totallyobvious that the truth will come out about Lara's scheme. Jake and Kate aretotally going to get together. Now the important topic, my favoritecharacters, BENJAMIN AND NINA!!!! Nina finally came to her senses andrealized that there was nothing for her on Catham Island. But when everyonefinds out she's gone, they'll totally freak! ESPECIALLY BENJAMIN!!!!!(Canyou tell that I want theses 2 to get back together or what?) All in all, itwas an awesome book! Read the whole series! I can almost guarrantee thatyou'll love it! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars The vacation from hades
I kind of feel sorry for Zoey.So far, none of her ideas have really panned out.The party ended in disaster and this vacation is turmoil.Well, except for Aisha running into christopher.Claire and Benjamin are mad foul.I have not really been crazy about Claire from the beginning; however, I really don't like her now.She has no right to ruin her fathers life, because someone else complicated hers. She needs to take it out on Aaron not her father and Sarah.4-0 out of 5 stars who loves kate?
I have read almost the whole series an dhave found the books both interesting and real. I especially liked the way Nina and her abuse situation was handled. This book was slightly dissapointing but I can assure you the series does get better. Nina needs to stop being such a pushover and ben a jerk which does happen. Being a teen my self I have found the series to be very real and acurate. I was dissapointed when the series ended and wish katherine would right some more. I encourage anyone to read from the beginning as it is a very good series.

5-0 out of 5 stars CLASSIC
It just keeps getting more and more better.Aaron gets busted with Kate.Kate gets her nose busted.Aisha is finding herself in a little bit of a man situation. The only thing missing was Mendel vs. Cabral. You can feel the tention when these guys get within 200 yards of each other, let alone being 2 inches from one another.Benjamin really needs to get over himself.I once thought he was a great. He was in my top ten all time great novel characters. Now he is no my all time...[bad] novel characters list. However, I do wish Lucas would have connected with Aaron instead of Kate.I am still a K-berger fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Aaron Lets Go...One of the best
What can you say about this book without giving anything away? This is an awesome story line, filled with everything you've come to expect from Katherine Applegate in this series. I loved this book because we have a new main character introduced and we get to see things from his view point. Asalways, it has the emotional roller coaster so many of us have to do dealwith. People are falling in and out of love, and making and breakingfriendships. Excitement at one hundred miles an hour.

5-0 out of 5 stars Still flowing
After 27 books this storyline is still flowing.I really like Paolo and Claire.I have begun to gain respect for Claire as the story continued. On the flip side of that, Zoey has become more nerve racking with each book.5-0 out of 5 stars Good Book
I read this book in less than 2 hours. And it was good. I have only read a few of Katherine's books but this is one of the best. It is about Paolo and Claire. Paolo insists that he is in love with Claire even when Claire really doesn't want a relationship. They spend sometime together and even if Claire doesn't want to admit it she starts to return his feelings. But she just got over being stalked by a stalker and for some reason she thinks he might be one also. Is Paolo a stalker? Does Claire tell him what she fells? Read it to find out. Good Book!

5-0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put it down!
I bought this book and it took me four hours to read it! I couldn't put it down. In the beginning of the book, I got so impatient with the character,Zoey. I felt like jumping in the pages and shaking her a bit. Lucas istoooooo sweet to be treated like that, although he did kiss Nina, butsooooo what! I like Paolo. Clair needs to get off her high horse andrealize that not all guys are scum. I'm hooked on Applegates series the"Animorph", "Everworld", and the "MakingOut",but I think the "Making Out" series holds the torch.Even if the "Making Out" series dies, we still can reread thebooks. (I've read every Animorph book twice and it didn't hurt. So I'mwierd...so what!) Who knows, Maybe we can follow them through college.Other writers are successful in doing so. I would like to see if Lucas andZoey wed...It is a natural thing to marry. I would like to see if Ben andNina hook up. Also Jake and Clair? Possibility. But Lara is dead. Let hergo. She's not Elvis! But in any event... Keep up the good work K.A.Applegate. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A great book and a Suspenseful series...
I loved the book!!!Zoey however, was not herself in the book, which is understandable. She was really full of herself (which is not understandable). I think that Lucas and Nina should end up together. I really saw them as a good couple in "Always Loving Zoey" Even thought they weren't a couple. I just think that Zoey was not sensitive to her boyfriend's needs (Lucas Cabral),seeing since his father just died, she needs to be there for him. The book was so good I cried the whole way through (I am a big cry baby). The circumstances are horrible and I only hope that there will be an uplift of spirit for all of the Island folks and something good will happen to all so I am waiting to see what happens in ... "Falling For Claire" ~Claire Ashley

5-0 out of 5 stars Best one yet!
I love Katherine Applegates Making out series but I think that this onewas one of the best ones yet.I have to admit that I didn't like Don'tForget Lara #25 as well as some others because lara has never been myfavorite..my favorites being Lucus, Zoey, Nina and Claire..which is most ofthem really, but this one was a page turner to see if Zoey would forgiveLucus and Nina, how Ben and Zoey would handle the stress of the resturantand their parents, if Claire would start being nicer to Paolo, how Aishaand her new roomie are getting along..all in all each character hadsomething interesting going on in which I couldn't wait to see how itturned out.

5-0 out of 5 stars great book but zoey's so stuck-up in it!
i can't believe lara died! i cried when it happened in the last book and icried at the funeral scene and in the nina/ben closet scene and... well, itupset me. and lucas was right at the funeral- zoey was acting so full ofherself and her own problems when lara, a great character, was DEAD! shealways jumped right to the conclusion that nina and lucas were doing itagain whenever she saw them together! zoey is so full of herself. myfavorite part was the plot with claire. a guy, paolo, has been SERIOUSLYbugging her thoughout the book! i think it's cool how much he likes her!she's aways been my favorite character and i think it's so funny how muchhe bugs her!! this book totally deserves 5 stars!!! the only problem isthat there are only two more book in the series after this one!!!!waaaaaaaaaa!!!=) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Ben needs to shape up
I understand wants to go through with this alone. However, he allowed Nina to come with him during the test and he even slept with her.So why doesn't he quit being selfish and let his woman be by his side and quit acting like it is pity.I like Ben; but, he is messing up.As for Zoey, well history does repeat itself. These were similar circumstances that lead to her and Jake breaking up.Aaron is a bit manipulative, but that is what Lucas gets for pushing the sex issue with Zoey.If he would have been intelligent enough to back off the other 100 times Zoey said no, this situation would no exist.5-0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK WAS GREAT!!!!!
I think the Making out Series of books are great!! I hope Ben's surgery goes well so he can see again. I just finished it and I recomend it to everyone who likes a good romance/teen novel. Lara and Jake should definatly stay together and I hope Lara can stop her drinking problem. My least favorite character is Clair. She is sooooo mean. Me and my friends have all started reading the books. Some of them are really hard to find though cause they are out of print!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this series!
OMG these are the best books! I just got done reading Nina Shapes Up and I think it's the best one yet! Nina and Benjamin are my fave island couple, they are so in love (even tho I peeked at a review 4 a later book and it said they break up and now Nina is with LUCAS of all people...I hope sheand Ben get back 2ge+her!). NEwayz, the point of this book is that Benfinds out about a blindness reversal surgery project in Boston. He and Ninarun away so he can have tests done 2 see if he's eligible. Thensomething...*surprising* happens between him and Nina. You'll just have 2read it 2 find out! 5-0 out of 5 stars Book #9 in the Making Out Series
It's Thanksgiving vacation on Chatham Island, Maine, time for families to come together and be thankful for their everyday blessings--well, in theory. Except this holiday, the Passmore and Geiger families will be tested on how strong their bonds are when they welcome a new sibling, a possible new boyfriend, and a father's new girlfriend to the table. Yes, let the drama begin. ;)5-0 out of 5 stars Zoey 's naive
In book 8,I felt that Zoey forgave Lucas a bit too quickly.I understand her confusion at seeing her parents together after all that confusion errupted on book 6.However, she is naive to think that she could just forgive and not deal with the issues.5-0 out of 5 stars please katherine write a number 29!you're books are so great

5-0 out of 5 stars It is on and Poppin
Once agian it is on.Lara new very well that she was going to tell Zoey anyway. She just simply strung Nina and Lucas along. She was hoping that Lucas and Nina would mess up, so that she could tell. Lucas and Nina should have told the truth. Christopher needs to quit being such a jerk to his sister. It is not her fault that Aisha was a bit more intelligent than he thought. Her suspicions would not be aroused, if he had not been so rude and mean to his sister and had just been honest. He created his own misery and he deserves to be miserable.Kendra should never talk or look at him for the rest of his pathetic life.Christopher just made my loser list right behind Benjamin, and Sean

Well...Zoey is a focus of most of the books because she is the main character.Isn't there usually one main character is most books??She is the sister of one character, best friend of the other two, girlfriend of one..she ties everyone together.I think these books are very good..they are easy to read, but still leave you feeling something for these characters after you finish reading them.I think its horrible that Lucus and Nina would do that to Zoey, and I don't think that they are good for each other like Lucus and Zoey were.I do like Nina, but I think that she is good for Benjamin.I would recomend these books to everyone, they are a great read.(...)

4-0 out of 5 stars And off to college they go..
I do actually feel quite sorry for Zoey. I mean, even though everyone thinks she is so self-centered and all, she has had a pretty rough time of it in parts too. I hope she and Lucas get back together tho'. Lara made thewhole 'Lucas & Nina's kiss' situation way out of proportion. PersonallyI'm not a Lara fan. The whole stalker thing was a good storyline for Claireas she is usually made out to be the bad guy, or girl I should say, in thesituation. Claire is definately one of my favourites. I hope to see moreabout Kate in the future. With the whole depression thing, I'd like to seesome good things happening to her.. and with Jake. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Storyline is still heated
I like the amnesia storyline; however, instead of having her believe she was fourteen again. The storyline would have really been great if she did not remember anything.Ben and Nina are my favorite couple and I just loved what they went through. The situation with Jake, I thought was touching and awsome.I can't entirely blame Claire for her reaction, but yet I really felt where sean was coming from.Whether Claire likes it or not looks does matter. But, Sean could have been honest about who he was.The best way for someone to accept you for who you are, is to know the real you flaws and all.

5-0 out of 5 stars best in the series
I thought this book was the best in the making out series. A definite to add to your collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Growing pains
It is very strange to read this book with everybody in different schools.I can see that for Claire, Zoey, and Aisha that it very strange being somewhere you are not known; more over, somewhere they don't know everybody.5-0 out of 5 stars Goodbye Lara
Believe it or not I will miss Lara. Yes, I know she was really bad but she also had a good side and just when she was getting her life back together she had to die. It was just really sad. I highly recommend this book to any teens out there! This series is just really great!

4-0 out of 5 stars Making out #25
I have read all of the making out series and though I did enjoy this book too, it was not my favorite.Lara was never one of my favorite characters and this book focuses mostly on her so I guess thats why it didn't appealto me as much.I did enjoy seeing how the rest of the gang are doing offto college and apart from the group they are so familar with.I also likedthe way they each still interact with each other and expecially how Claireis adusting to dorm life. This book has a suprise ending which is notcommon in most of the other making out series and I can't wait to get thenext one. ... These books are truly amazing.I have probably read each book at least twice. You begin to really care about the people in the book and I must admit that I was really didn't want the last book to end.Too bad there were never any more added to the series.A must read!

5-0 out of 5 stars Teen hit!!
Although i has first read 'jake find out' i thought this book was fun to read still. Its great for all teens who love romance. Nina and Lucas where my fav characters. I think Lucas and Zoey make a fab couple.

I first picked up this book when i was 11. I was, and always will be very fussy about what I read and although it took me a while to get into, I loved this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Stuff is still hitting the fan
This storyline takes yet another interesting turn.Ben finds and meets Laura.Lucas' dirty little secret comes out. Between Lucas and her parents transgressions, Zoey is about to snap completely.Book 8 is going to be classic

5-0 out of 5 stars Words that come from the heart!
I love these books, and the way they make someone feel like they are that person, for even in the story lines. They always keep me thinking what'sgonna happen next. And some times when the people in the book start to driveyou up the wall because you dislike them so much! But I find most of thepeople in these books are put there for a reason. But these books make youfeel, make you wonder. You began to think will this happen in my life? Butthe thing I can think of is that in the end Zoey will find the truth. Andthings might end up not so happly ever after. But these books got mehooked! So keep writing Katherine Applegate!

5-0 out of 5 stars A complex book with everything needed to be fabulous
Zoey's parents got separated, mainly because Mrs. Passmore was cheating with Jake's dad. Also, Benjamin and Zoey learn that they have a half sister. Zoey and Jake comfort each other, while Lucas and Claire becomesuspicious and go for a little drive. Hmmmm... Aisha tries desperatley tokeep Christopher from ruining his life. Benjamin and Nina do detective workto track down Lara, his deranged half sister. TWO THUMBS UP!!! This is adefinate Making Out classic.Next book: Aisha Goes Wild. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Why can't Claire stay out of their business?
Now, don't get me wrong, this is a great book, but...Claire has just gotten a bit TOO involved in the lives of her friends and her sister. She's concocted this little scheme for all 8 of the islanders to go skiing. Only three of them know how to ski, and Chris really isn't in any business to go skiing. Claire crafted up the scheme to get Jake back (she dumped him in Ben's in Love), but it won't work if he (or someone else) finds out.4-0 out of 5 stars What is up with Lucas?
Ok, I have enjoyed some of these books, and even this one. But what? Lucas breaks up with Zoey, or prepares to end it because she won't have sex with him? I could really go off on that. If he really truely loved her, he would stop to think about her wanting to wait. Although Zoey could have told him better then that. And should have told him that from the start, so I suppose she did lead him on, but still...

5-0 out of 5 stars claire has issues

4-0 out of 5 stars another awesome book from the series
This is great!! Aisha can't decide between christopher and a guy that she used to hate, jake gets stood up and lucas is in the doghouse AGAIN! read this, its awesome

5-0 out of 5 stars Two Timing Aisha
This book was entertaining to read.Aisha would have had nothing to worry about if she had just been up with Christopher from the beginning.Once again, Lucas needs to get a hold of himself. He completely misses the point everytime.I am quite sure Zoey would have been thrilled that Lucas liked her writing. However,He should not have read that story in the first place.Zoey told him specifically that she would show him her story some other time.Just like in the beginning when Zoey would have keep telling him no about sex, she kept telling him no about invading her privacy.Lucas is hard headed.I have absolutely nothing to say about Lara, Claire, and Aaron. It is one thing to be angry at Aaron, and for whatever reason not like Sarah. But, she had absolutely no consideration on how this would emotionally drain her father. The same father that tried to do whatever he could to keep her driving secret buried. As for Aaron, he is bad news all the way around.Benjamin is kind of redeeming himself by searching for Nina.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a shocker
I thought this book was great.I think Lucas reacted quite well when Zoey was undoing her buttons. I know a couple of lads that wouldn't care if I were upset they would just jump in for the killer. I also think it was horrible of him and Claire. None of them bothered to ask how she was feeling or tried to get some answers. I think Christopher needs to cool down abit. I actually felt sorry for that bald man.I would like Jake and Zoey to get back together. Also Christopher and Aisha should make up their minds about weather or not their dating. Oh and Lucas shouldn't have demanded sex off Zoey. I feel so sorry for zoey, the world is just crumbling around her.

5-0 out of 5 stars Keeps getting better
Thsi storyline is tremendous.Lucas needs to grow up and learn how to respect Zoey's decision .He like most young people do not realize how sex changes the dynamic between two people. He also needs to understand that it is not his way or no way, especially after what Zoey saw. I really hope this storyline involves Louis Kronenberger a little more, she keeps it real ... Read more
