5-0 out of 5 stars I love this book
This book is one of my three favorite books(the other two being the vanishing and the return) and I'm sure it took a lot of imagination to think of something with such creativity. Marilyn Kaye has made many greatbooks but this triligy is one of the best. I don't usually read sci-fibooks but this one caught my eye. See I had already read the first book(the vanishing0 and I was very interested in reading the next two, so I goton the phone and called every book store within 15 miles. I drove 20 milesto get this book and trust me it was worth it. these books are reallygreat.

5-0 out of 5 stars MARILYN KAYE, YOUR A GODDESS!!!!!!!!!!
Last on Earth: The Convergence is the BEST book in the trilogy series! Book 1 took some time to get into but once you did you couldn't wait to see what happened next. I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!! I LOVED IT SOOOOOOMUCH!!!!! The characters are warm and heartfelt, the story is beautifullywritten, and the topic is so interesting!! What would happen if i were oneof 25 students left on earth? Each character has thier own way of dealingwith it. And Marilyn Kaye put equal work and depth into EVERY one of them.No joke. Any person can relate to thier own character, that's the beautypart! I loved it!! This book deserves WAAAAYYY more than 5 stars. How bout6? or 10? I loved this book so much I decided to puchase a brand new set of the books, then I put them under glass and locked them in a safe place so future generations could enjoy. This book was so real I felt my heartpounding when they first emerged from the high school. It was as if it was dream come true! Stores open for the taking. Anything you want is yours, high tech computers, cd's, radios, movies, hotels!!!!!!!! everything youcouldn't have before you could have now. And there was people to enjoy itwith. 4-0 out of 5 stars A Great Read
I read the "The Vanishing" when I was still in grade school. My teacher kept telling me to start branching out on other books besides romance and horror.I tried to go for sci-fi and came across "The Vanishing" in the library.I have to say that I did come to like this book very much.I wanted to get the rest of the series but I honestly cannot remember why I did not continue with the series.I am now in college and was looking back into my earlier reading and remembered reading "The Vanishing."I decided it was time to get the last two books. It was incredible.I could not put them down. The whole time you kept asking yourself, "how would you react to that situation?"A lot of the reviewers say they like the second book, "The Convergence,"better, but I am more partial to the last one, "The Return."The ending left you satisfied as well in my opinion. The whole series just made you think on how the world is today.I recommend this series to everyone, adults and young adults alike.

4-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME SERIES! GREAT ENDING! I LOVED IT!
The Return, the final chapter in this breathtaking phenomena by Marilyn Kaye may not be the best in the series (for me personaly it was volume 2), but it gave me wonderful closuer on all the characters and left me missingthem. You know, like i actually knew them personaly. It's weird, but thisbook is so incredible it DOES make you feel that way. FOR THE AVERAGEAMERICAN TEEN: READ THIS SERIES! YOU'LL ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT!! I PROMISE!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A thrilling science fiction novel.
Twenty five teenagers at an overcrowded New York City school have a basement classroom. One day, they emerge to find that everyone else in the city, and possibly the Earth, has vanished from site, leaving no clues as to where they could have gone. Now it's up to the teenagers to discover where everyone else has gone before the same fate befalls them. This was an edge-of-your seat science fiction thriller with a realistic view of what might happen if just a few teenagers and no one else was left on Earth. Unfortunatley, the last book in the series was a dissapointment.

3-0 out of 5 stars Last on Earth
I liked this book. It was interesting at some parts like when they went to the hair salon and they were going to do Tiffany's hair but they left it in too long and all of her hair fell out! There were also other parts thatwere not so good like when they locked Cam in his room and they took 5pages to get him out. That part was boring.I would suggest this book toa older person becouse I had trouble understanding it in some parts.

1-0 out of 5 stars Q:What could have ruined such an interesting premise.
A: Thoughtless plagarism. And I don't mean each character which is obviously (or is that obliviously) ripped from the stereotypical world of today's TV teen. The loner, the politician's son, the nerd, the twin, and(of course) the supermodel? These characters have no more depth thanthese two word outlines. The plagarism I'm talking about is a paper thinretracing of a classic 1940Welles novel.Much of the novel dumps what Ithink is a promising premise for mindless character drivel.Instead ofcleaver ideas, Marilyn Kaye has filled the book with cliches sponged out ofa melodramatic mish-mash of failed romance and weak mystery novels.Theplot can't stretch what few surprises it holds long enought for thecharacters to read like they are intelligent (or even capable) humanbeings.I can't tell you how many times I chided the characters for'conveniently' forgetting about what they should know.Last On Earth isout of this world.Perhaps it should have stayed there. ...
