5-0 out of 5 stars I love all of the Clearwater Crossings books!
I love this book, and all the other ones as well! It was about Melanie leaving Jesse when they finally were back together. And when Miguel helps out at the hospital and with Leah and is having so much fun over the summer. Nicole's mom's having a baby and she is so embaressed, but Jenna tells her how lucky she is. And how she's gonna have this cute little person in the house. And I thought, Just another one of her fabulous books! After I read that #20 is going to be the last one, I felt so sad! It's like one those books that you can never put down, you know? The books are so real, and you feel the characters too. That's how good the books are! I don't know how I'll ever find another series as good as this one. And if the author is reading, to me you are my favorite author! Thanx for writing!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book!
I have read every book in the Clearwater Crossing series. I like them a lot and it only takes me a few hours to read them. This book was really good. If you are thinking of reading the Clearwater books, start with book one, because you won't understand all what is going on. I am anxious to read book 19 to find out more about Nicole and her new brother or sister, more about Miguel and Leah, Ben and Bernie, Jesse, Melanie, and Melanie's dad's job. I alsowant to read more about Jenna joining Guy's band, and especially Caitlin and David's wedding plans!!! Clearwater Crossing rocks!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great summer read!
Like the last few books in this series, I have to say that this one is so good! Things just continue to look up for everyone in Prime Eight.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Clearwater Crossing: More Than This
In book 10 of Clearwater Crossing, Nicole is dreading returning home from California for this reason: Her parents are going to ground her! But when she gets back, they changed their minds. Jesse hates living with his father, stepmother and stepsister. When his mother comes to visit, he jumps at the chance to go back to California, since everything is miserable at Clearwater Crossing; including things with Melanie. When Brittany, his stepsister, runs away, he has second thoughts and the two try to patch things up.4-0 out of 5 stars Clearwater Crossing-More than this

5-0 out of 5 stars Laura Peyton Roberts is a genius
Clearwater Crossings is the best series that I have ever read. She writes as if she is a teenager going through these problems. I read the books since I was in 6th grade and I cant get enough. And I just learned that #20 is the last book of the series. I couldn't belive it. I read the books one after another. If you are a teenager looking for a good book, read this series. The books are unbeliveable.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Can Not Bear the Thought...
I loved number 19. But it saddens me to death that #20 will be the last book of this amazing seires. I have read every single one more that a hundred times and I feel that I know the charecters from Clearwater Crossing. But...it hurts so much to see it go... I have cried with charecters in the books and I have laughed. I have introduced friends to the amazing people from the small town in Missouri. I can not stand the fact that all of that will be gone just like that. I respect Laura Peyton Roberts decsion to stop the seires but with so many things a new that are happening...and I guess I dont understand how it all can stop so suddenly. Mrs. Roberts thank you for introducing me to the best books I have ever known. I appreciate it so much, and I feel that it really has changed my life for the greater.

4-0 out of 5 stars you have to read this book!
Okay, I've been following this series since the very beginning, and I love every single word."Now and Always" isn't too shabby, either. It tells the story of Jenna's pushiness in regards to her sister's wedding, Ben's struggle to keep his nerdy identity a secret, a moral decision Leah and Miguel have to make, and Melanie's interest in her new art teacher.I felt a little that the whole thing with Melanie was just thrown in as a filler, as if she just had to have something to do.But the best part of the book is Nicole's revelations about why she really wanted to lose all the weight and what she really wanted.I could really related to her in a lot of ways, especially the way she feels in the last couple chapters. This is the second to last in the series, so enjoy this book to its fullest. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars No Doubt Review
Jenna tries to patch things up with her older sister Caitlin. Before she had left with the other girls of Eight Prime for California, she had blabbed to Peter about Caitlin's crush on David, Peter's brother--and Caitlin had caught her in the act. Will Caitlin forgive Jenna?1-0 out of 5 stars No Doubt
I think that this book is a very good book to read for girls because moast of the characters are girls. This book ia about two grils that always get in trouble because they do stuff there not supposed to.The two girls have always been that way sinse they were relly small but now things are about to change because now that they are back from there trip they have to take responsability for there own actions and pay for watever the do now that one is eigteen and one seventeen. They go throw alot of trouble adjusting to this new procedure but they have to get used to it.The ending is really funny and surprising.I think that the two girls really have to learn how to get out of trouble.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENNT !

This clearwater crossing book was the best.It showed so much emotion when Peter lost Jason at winter camp. The whole community showed such apprieciation and concern for finding t he boy. They all helped so much. This book really showed how many things go on during a hoilday and toremember what is really important to you not just to find pleasure ingetting a gift from others but to care for everyone and not be selfish. This book definitly deserves 5-stars plus.

5-0 out of 5 stars These books are great!!!
Hi!I have all of the Clearwater Crossing books and really like them.I think it's neat that finally there is an author that writes about religion and the difficulties that teenagers face every day.I think this is aseries that someone can learn things from and learn a good lesson from! Not everyone is perfect in the real world and these books prove thateveryone has problems to face. I reccomend this series to anyone who likesreading a good book. :-) ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Just Friends Review
CCHS Homecoming!4-0 out of 5 stars fist time read it i was hooked
When me and my best friend were shopping at a mall we where looking at books and we found clearwater crossing #1 and 2. So we got them and we read them and loved them so much. So we got the other one #3 and 4. We just got the book #5 and we had to wait a while but we got it like a week ago and now we are waiting to get the 6th one and we can not wait. The first time we read them we could not put them down. Even though we are in 6th grade they are the best books i ever read and i encourage you to read them too no matter how old you are. They make you wanting to know whats going to happen next and you get hooked on them after you just read the first chapter. They seem so like just like real life and i hope you will want to read all of the Clearwater Crossing books because i know that i will.

5-0 out of 5 stars So Realistic
I am A freshman in High school and I find that in this book they express alot of the things that I go though in everyday life. All the characters in the book are so unique that you can relate to one of them....don't get me wrong the teenagers in this book are not perfect! I think that that is why I enjoyed the book. It's not a fairy tale book. It's actually one of the most realistic books I've ever read. The characters turn into your everyday friends. The football games, the meetings, the friendships, the relationships...They are all part of high school. I'm sure you'll really enjoy this book. You can certainly learn alot from the characters by their mistakes or by their good judgement and the out comes. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Spectacular Finale to an Amazing Series!
You'll have to read the ending (or well near it) to find out my favorite part in this entire book.Hint: Miguel+Leah! These two were together the whole series with two breakups and problems with other side attractions (Shane and Sabrina). Now that they're starting college, Leah is miserable, but the ending of their time in this book changes all that =D
4-0 out of 5 stars really good
this is a good book.....the part with leah and miguel makes me a bit sad, i actually cried while i read it. since they're graduating, it was bringing out my own feelings about my graduation in june. but its still a good book, just cause a book makes u cry doesn't mean its bad. :-)

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my fave in the series
I stumbled across these books by chance in my local library, and have learned to like them. This book is actually about and ending point in the Eight Prime. Leah is going away to college, and Miguel is too, only he'll be at the community college, so he won't be that far away. Finally Nicole starts to have a little faith in herself, but I think she still has some hurtles to overcome, and I think the next few books are going to be tough on her cause everyone knows that the only reason she is on the squad is because Melanie quit. But it's cool that her and Gail are finally starting to work out their problems, and are starting to become real good friends. I think Gail could totally help Nicole realize that it's not about looks. I love the part in this book where Nicole dumbs her man!! ( I think his name is Neil but I can't remember right now) He was mad hitting on Gail at Melanie's pool party, and Nicole just got sick of it cause he was using her anyway.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Book Ever
This book, Keep the Fiath, is a relly good book. It will start with someone and stop, then start again with someone else. You don't stop thinking about the other person. It draws you into the book. I would recomend rerading this book. I started with book four and read five and six also. The book is about young people who have problems like we have today. Other books like this are Lurlene McDaniel books. Her books deal with people and things today. Keep the Faith, is a book that i would rate a five being the highest. the author did a great job of writing the book. I would recomend it to anyone who liked books of romance and of things that we deal with today. this is a really great book to read.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's a great book

Peter finally discovers that he is in love with his best friend, Jenna. He is forever trying throughout this book to tell her, but is crushed when he gets the wrong idea about Jenna and Miguel.4-0 out of 5 stars "Reality Check" leaves you wanting more
Laura Peyton Roberts' "Clearwater Crossing" is a deceptively engaging series.Although on first glance the books might look like any other teenage drivel (i.e. the "Love Stories" or anything with the words "Sweet Valley" on the cover), they are far from it.They are very well-written, with interesting characters, and each book has a "cliffhanger" ending designed to leave you wanting more.4-0 out of 5 stars A great teen book!
This is definitely one of those books you CANNOT put down! I read the whole thing in 1 day. It is so easy to relate to everyone in this book! If you are a teenager I'd definitely recommend it... especially if you're ahopeless romantic like me! After I finished this book I immediately startedreading the next in the series (Heart & Soul) and I'm already half-waythrough that book too! This series is definitely a great one to get hookedon! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Man, I wish I could say more!
This book had one of the funniest parts in it that I have ever seen(read). And believe me, I have read a lot of books.Unfortuanately, the hilarious part is at the very end of the book, and I can't say anything more! All I'll let myself say is that it is Peter's birthday present.Ooh, I hate silence! You HAVE to read this, but only after reading the whole series, otherwise, it won't make sense. This book, and this series is amazing.I love how it has a Christian base, but for the nonChristians out there, it is not too uncomfortable.I, however, am a born-again believer, and proud of it.

5-0 out of 5 stars (All of the Clearwater Crossing books are 5-star)
These books are great! My Mom bought me #10 thinking it would be a good book for me to read, but little did she know that these books are the most addictive things I have ever read. If you haven't read them, read them!!! They are truly worth it. 5-0 out of 5 stars This book is great...as are all the rest
Just let me begin by saying that you should definitely read these books.I am a satirical writer and originally picked one of them ("Skin Deep") up thinking that it might be something I would be able to lampoon, but instead I found myself incredibly interested in the lives of each character - in particular, Nicole Brewster and Melanie Andrews.Since then I have read every single book in the series and am currently enduring a practically unbearable wait for #20.In a word - these books are great! Oh, wait, that's four words.Oh, well. ... Read more

I really like this series! It's great! I can't believe it's ending at book 20! Book 19 just came out. Anyways. This is a great series. A thing I like most about it is how everyone in this book likes someone. Nicole likes Jesse. Jesse likes Melanie. Melanie likes Peter. Peter likes Jenna. Jenna likes Miguel. Miguel likes Leah. Leah likes Miguel. And, well, Ben, he's just out there, but that's ok. Ok, now about this book:Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars another great book in the series
Love Hurts was a great addition to the Clearwater Crossingseries. I really enjoyed it and it brought out a lot of issues thatmake you rush to the bookstore to get the next book. Anyway, it has a bit of a cliffhanger at the end and it is definitly one of my favorites out of the series.

5-0 out of 5 stars By far the best in the series!
Yes, this book is the best! Jenna and Peter struggle to fix their romance. Miguel becomes too attached to a sick young boy. Jesse finally swallows his pride and asks Melanie to the prom, while Nicole tries out for thecheerleading squad. To find out what happens, you'll have to read the book!

5-0 out of 5 stars A reader with a question
Every time a new clearwater crossing book comes out, I can't help myself but wonder what it would be like to have that kind of talent. After number thirteen came out ( or all of the clearwater crossing books ) I always pretend that I am Ms. Roberts. Love Hurts was somewhat close to my versionof what it would be like, but much much better. Most of the time when Iwait for a new book to come out, I can't help myself but wonder what itwould be like. Number fourteen is a fabulos sequel to number thirteen. Ican't wait until the endding. Ms. Roberts thank - you so much for thesebooks I really feel like they have changed my life. You have changed mylife because of them, I thank - you from the bottom of my heart. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Tried & True Review
Leah and Miguel have been through practically everything together. Now that they're about to graduate, Leah feels like she and Miguel should be together all the time--or most of it, anyway.Miguel is constantly still trying to get his family into a house of their own, away from public housing.Meanwhile, Leah turns 18 and gets some rather nice gifts--especially from a college boy named Shane who likes her.Jenna drives one day into Miguel's neighborhood by accident, but wishes she hadn't when she sees Miguel and his former co-worker Sabrina. 5-0 out of 5 stars TRULY FANTASTIC
This is one of the best books in the series. The whole series is wonderful and fascinating, and I highly recommend it for any teenager. I love Leah and Miguel, and this is one my favorite books ever!!! The series got better as it went on, and I loved reading about Leah and Miguel. Definetly some of the best books ever written. I'm angry at myself, though, because like an idiot I checked all the books out of the library, and now they're out of print...every book, though, is worth any money you spend it. BUY THESE BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars What happened!?!?
I started reading the Clearwater Crossing series when I found the first book at the library. Since then I have been buying the books from the book store because of the time that it takes for the library to get the books. I love this series, but not this book, it's a big let down.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put it down!
Laura Peyton Roberts has done it again! I couldn't put this one down either!I especially liked the way she is so detailed, you feel as though you are watching the story take place right before your eyes. She picks topics that really relate to teenagers, any one of EIGHT PRIME could reallybe me or my friends! She keeps me hanging at the end with her cliffhangers, that is the only draw-back to the Clearwater Crossing series.Ican't wait to get my hands on the next book to find out what happens withJenna and Peter, Melanie and Jesse, Nicole and Guy, Leah and Miguel, Ben,and Sarah!

5-0 out of 5 stars Another 5 star book from Laura Peyton Roberts
Who knew that after one boring day in the bookstore I would end up this obsessed with a series? The Clearwater Crossing series is truly an original series, and I love it!I love how Roberts can make you involved in eachone of the lives of Eight Prime.Hope Happens is a good example of how shecan make you look into the deepest depth of the character's souls.I nowfeel connected to each character, and I can't wait until the next bookcomes out.The book will make you laugh, cry, and smile with joy!I wouldrecommend it to anybody looking for a wholesome good read.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Done-Again!
This book-as the others-wonderfully displays how teens today cope with life's accidents. They portray how we feel almost always, and while I've never coped with anyone I love being in a car accident, I know that I wouldfeel just as horrible as the next person.L.P.Roberts did an excellent jobwith this book as in the last 11 books-I've read (and have) them all. So,I believe that these books are easy, and good for us all.Maybe they'regood because they take our focus off of us and let us see other people'sproblems and lives in a new light.I recommend this book (and series) toanyone who needs a "breather" from all the hype that isassociated with us teens. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Good Author
I started reading this series because I read an Alias book by Laura Peyton Roberts, A Secret Life, and thought it was one of the best Alias books ever written.Although this doesn't have the exciting adventures Sydney Bristow has, it is right on target for what real teenage life is like. After a while, I got into this book and actually began caring for the characters - Jenna, Jesse, Nicole, Peter, and everyone. What I like most is how it seems close to what my high school friends and I go through. Why this is a 5?I got drawn into the story and now feel compelled to read the other books.

5-0 out of 5 stars Get it while you can!
I just started this series recently and loved it. Unfortunately nearly all the books are out of print! If you want to read these novels, buy as many from Amazon.com that you can to start with. Some other websites, including Christianbook.com and Walmart.com also have a few in stock, but not many. And don't rule out buying used books or checking your local library for the Clearwater Crossing books- trust me, they're worth it! Good luck in finding these books!

4-0 out of 5 stars What Goes Around Review
This book features the CCHS prom.Nicole is devastated that she missed making the cheerleading squad by one place, but Melanie tries to set her straight.5-0 out of 5 stars Help me out if you can!
I love these books! As almost all of the other readers of these books have said, they are truly the most addicting things to read! I have every book in the series, including the Special Diaries one, except #17. There seems to be only one being sold on Amazon.com (as of today: Dec. 28, 2002), and it's [alot more than I can afford]. Being a teen, I don't have the money lying around, so if you have it used-let me know. I check Amazon.com a lot-please put it on the market!! Sounds crazy, but I need this book! You have no idea!!

5-0 out of 5 stars DEVASTATED
I have read every book in this series of books and I am addicted. I'm even waiting for one of the first copies of number 20 in the series. I will DIE when the series ends. Please DON'T STOP and even when you have to, please write another exactly like it. The way that people can relate to the characters is scary. Out of all the series of books that I've ever read, this is the most addictive one yet. They are my favorite books in the book world. Thankyou for coming up with such amazing things for everyone to enjoy. And please don't stop writing.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Diaries Review
In the diaries, the girls of Eight Prime tell their thoughts on the first four books.Jenna is first with her thoughts on Maggie, Leah and Miguel's new relationship, etc. Nicole has the second part, with revenge plots for Jesse and her sister Heather.Melanie has the third part while she is in the hospital and home. Finally, Leah has her thoughts on the fourth book with her and Miguel's relationship.Read the first four books instead of this, but have this book to complete the collection.

3-0 out of 5 stars Initially intriguing; soon after, disappointing
Upon seeing "The Diaries" for the first time I was very interested to see it, but I didn't need to read much of it before realizing that it is just a watered-down retread of the first four books in the Clearwater Crossing series, told from each girl's point of view (Jenna's diary is book 1, Nicole's is book 2, and so forth).Even the conversations are repeated, word for word.4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Book
I just bought this book on Amazon.com a few weeks ago. Basically, Jenna's diary is a re-cap of Book 1, Get a Life; Nicole's diary is a re-cap of Book 2, Reality Check; Melanie's diary is a re-cap of book 3, Heart and Soul; and Leah's diary is a re-cap of Book 4, Promises Promises. They were all pretty good, however, I wouldn't recommend buying this if you already have read, or have books 1-4. But, if you haven't read them, get this, because it'll save you lots of money.Read more

A clean-cut but sadly pretty-boring novel, featuring a bunch of teenagers that are hard to get attached to.

After a cheerleading stunt goes wrong, Melanie is rushed to the hospital. She wakes up after a while and is constantly seeming to think she likes Peter.5-0 out of 5 stars awesome
i have all the books that have come out of this series so far, and i love them! they deal with a lot of teen issues...relationships, religion, just a lot of the things that confuse us during our teen years.if you really enjoy reading about people's lives (fictional) and a book that deals with teen issues, then this'll be right up your alley! ... Melanie is saddened when another holiday comes. Her father will be drinking and her mother will still be buried in Iowa. She brightens up, though, when her favorite Junior Explorer (Amy) spends the holiday with her.Meanwhile, things with Jesse are going weird.5-0 out of 5 stars Still waters run deep
I'm a 12 year old reader from CA. I have read all the Clearwater Crossing books, and this is my favorite. The Melanie/Jesse thing is driving me nuts.Does she love him? Does he love her? At the end, I was almost screaming atMelanie for being so dense. The Ben thing was a little undeveloped, butvery interesting. After all, if you don't like the person you're kissing, than the kiss is worth nothing at all. As for Melanie and Jesse, if they'reever going to have a serious relationship, they both need to acknowledgdetheir feelings, not deny them, and learn to trust each other. I hope thisreview helped you!

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT
I thought that this book was really good. The book was so life like. Not like some books where they try to make it life like but no one can ever relate to them. This is practically a dictation of the average teens life.I loved this book and if you have enjoyed other clearwater crossing booksin the past you're guarenteed to love this one. ... Read more
