5-0 out of 5 stars Four and a Half Stars
I believe that you shouldn't take all reviews into account when purchasing a book. Because the reviews for this book was pretty dismal i decided not to buy it, but my sister had other thoughts and gave it to me on my birthday and i have to say thank god!
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Story but the romance dissapointed me
Good book but...1-0 out of 5 stars not the best book!!
well first of all i thought that this was the worst night world book in the series and believe me i have and read all 9 of them. Gillian is just so shallow and a little sissy the only thing she wants is to be popular and have David as her bf like its the most important thing in the world!! i thought David was stupid too he seem to only fall in love with Gillian because of her transformation to being well liked he was just being shallow and really stupid. i think Gillian and David are the most stupidest characters in the entire night world series!! so far this was not the best book so far. the only part i liked was where Ash showed up i was totally happy when he was in this book. he is just funny and such a hottie to be with. the other books i recomend is Witchlight, Daughters of darkness, Soulmate, The chosen, and Black dawn. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Badly written.
I did not like this book. At all.
3-0 out of 5 stars Didn't live up to my expectations
Cursed, according to the inside flap, takes place in an alternate-continuity between Buffy's fifth, and Angel's third seasons.Yet, in spite of that message, I found while reading the book that the timing felt off -- way off.Like maybe this should have happened after Buffy's sixth season, because of the relationship development between her and Spike or at least during, because Connor's infancy also plays a role in the story.Nonetheless, the story tells the tale of a gypsy artifact, a woman who played a role in both Angelus and Spike's history, and a desire to keep the artifacts out of the hands of the bad guys. With Angel on a mission from Giles, and Spike trying to get some money to pay off a loan shark, both of our vamps are in L.A. trying not to let their past destroy their future.Of course, Buffy, at least in Spike's mind, hangs in the background over both of her lovers.
5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Novel
This was a novel I wasn't sure I would like, since I am not a big Angel fan (neither the character nor the series), but I was pleasantly surprised. Mel Odom has written a complex, captivating story. All the players are wonderfully kept in character, with no continuity problems or slip-ups, as has happened with other writers.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Tear Jerker
This story has to be on of the best stories in the entire One Last Wish series. It shows the hardships that teens that have Cystic Fibrosis have to endure daily.Kara Fischer, a girl with C.F., shows what she goes through every day with this disease, and how it affects her every day life. She deals with the same things we deal with and more; and it shows how determined she is to have a normal life. When she falls in love with Eric, and he finds out about her C.F., I was surprised to see what he did. This book is a heart-wrenching story that brought a tear to my eye while reading it.It is an amazing book with a great truth behind it.Showing all of the things that happen to the people suffering from the disease, in using a child for the main character, makes you relate to the character even more; whether you have the disease or not.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best book in the second series of Young Jedi Knights
Usually, in most series by the time they reach book 10 it is beggining to get cheesy and unsatifying, but this is an exception. In fact, I think that this book is even better than the other three books in the second series of Young Jedi Knights, though I generaly liked the first series better. For one thing, even though there is one more book after this one, it seemed to tie in just about all the subplots of the series into a flawless intertwining story, that ismuch better than most people give itcredit for, just because they are kids books.Anyway, in this story, The Young Jedi Knights (Jacen, Jaina, Tenel Ka, and Raynar) finally decide that they have waited long enough for Lowie (their other friend) to return from visiting the Diversity Aliance and they must assume that he has either joined them, or is beingheld against his will. (both bad things) So they take off to go to rescue him, but are captured by the Diversity Aliance (who is fanacicly anti-human) and thrown into the spice mines to slave out their remaining years in agony. Will they save Lowie and escape? And if they manage to will they survive in the nearly inhospitably cold exterier to Ryloth? You'll just have to read the book to find out.One thing that bothers me, isthat when they ask Lusa to stay behind and cover for them sayingthat they went on a mission or something, well wouldn't the adults imediatly be suspicios?I mean they are just a bunch of fifteen year old kids, wouldn't the adults feel responsible if something happened to them?Yet everyone seems to simply take itin stride as a normal accurance untill Zekk and Lusa come forward and tell the truth for them. Also, these budding relationships between all the kids, while extremly innocent, are starting to get annoying.Actually, the relationship between Jacen and Tenel Ka is fine, it being fun and interesting to watch. But do we really need more than that? Now new charactershave actually been created just so other characters aren't left out of this, or so it seems.Zekk in particular was never one ofmy favorite characters, though despite myself I am begining to like him more.I am still completly against him forming a relationship with Jaina though, despite the fact they like each other. While I suppose Jaina does like him for the right reasons, they are better as friends.Their so called relationship is not only boring, but also completly unneccacary.A poor attemp to relate to teenage girls who would be reading this book.I'm a girl, and I'm fifteen, but this still seems silly and unneccecary, as is Lusa and Raynar, and Lowie and Raaba.Well now that I'm through complaining, I'll sign off by saying once again that this is a great book that I reccomend to any Star Wars fan, especially those interested in seeing how Han and Leia's kids turned out.

5-0 out of 5 stars must get this book
This is a great book. one of the beast. A good part is when Jacen & Tenel Ka get lost in the ice land."The first thing Jacen noticed wasthe cold.He shivered and looked at Tenel Ka,her lizard hide boots rose tomidcalf, but her scaled armor only covered a minuscule portion of her uperthigh and left her arms bare. You must be c-c-cold,he said. This is afact, said Tenel Ka.Chill wind went into the cave like knives of ice.Jacen, unable to thik of any other comfort, put his arms around Tenel Kaand pulled her to him in hopes of sharing some of his body warmth. TenelKa's arm slid around Jacen's waist and hugged him". so they arefrezzing to death. It gets a bit more buddy buddy for Jacen & Tenel Ka. Now Jaina &Ranar are in the hot lands. " Raynar did his best tokeep up with Jaina as they trudged between cracks, lept over open spaceslike ovens, and hid from the heat in any shadows they could find. Now Iknow what a nerf sausage-- on a hot plate feels like, said Raynar.Jainacouldn't anser. Her skin was red and raw from the heat, her hands and feethad good number of blisters already. Jaina climbed up a rockface, along acleft in the tones that heid some shade. She slippedbriefly and reachingout to steady herself, touched an outcropping of rock exposed to the directsunlight. She hissed in pain and snached her fingers away. Red burn-weltssprouted on her skin. Working it the mines is starting to sound like avacationto me,she admitted. we don't have any waterout here, no food orprotection...said Jaina". So they have to deal with the heat. This isa great book, to see what happens you got to get it.

4-0 out of 5 stars A light uncomplicated read.
I have recenlty found to my suprise that many YA novels are very interesting. The "Young Jedi Knights" series have a lot of thesenovels and this particular book is easily representative of the breed. Ithelped that I have read some of the previous books of the series, however, otherwise I would have been completely lost in the characterinterrelationships. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Young Jedi Knights HO!
Sorry about the title, couldn't think of a good one. Anyway I am officially a fan of this series. I have enjoyed reading them now so long after the original release and reading the New Jedi Order & Dark Nest series. It is fun to see how Jacen, Jaina and crew got to the point they are as adults. I don't know that I would have like them as much if I had read them when they were origianlly released. The characters are fun and the stories are quick moving which is a plus. If you can find any of these book get them and read them. This book in particular was fun because you got an interesting look into wookie cultur and their home world.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best in the entire Shadow Academy series
If I could give it a million stars I would. When Lowbacca (or Lowie) learns that his sister, Sirra, is about to do the dangerous Wookie rite of passage he decides to go to Kashyyyk to be with her. His friends Jaina, Jacen and Tenel Ka agree to go with him. Little known to Lowie and his friends, the evil SHADOW ACADEMY also plans to go to Kashyyyk. But their plans are somewhat different. They plan to raid the Wookie's tech factory. This raid is under the leadership of Zekk (Jacen & Jaina's old friend who turned to the dark side), and the Nightsister Tamith Kai, plenty of stormtroopers, and another Nightsister. Well of course both parties collide and it is very exiting with a great ending. I highly recommend it to all Star wars fans and especially Lowbacca fans.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best but OK
I think that this was rather boring, but it realy leads upto Jedi under siege, which is among my three favroites.I love this series, and think that this is a great book despite that.If you have already read jedi under siege (as I had when I read this book) you will find boring, but if you just finished Lightsabers it is very suspenceful as you wait to see what will happen to the Shadow Acadmey and Luke's Praxeum, or jedi acadmey as it was called in the Jedi Acadmey trilogey. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Silent Night 1 & 2 rock!
These books are spectacular! Its super chilling and extremly freaky. I love these books and expect the same for the others. Try "Dangerous Girs" by Stine as well, you'll love it!
2-0 out of 5 stars "'Tis the season . . . to die."
Coming home from college for the holidays with her roommate (Grace Morton), Reva Dalby is unaware of the danger that lays ahead for her yet again in this third and final book in the Silent Night trilogy. In this book, she heads a fashion show at her family's department store, after taking credit for designing some scarves her cousin Pam and Pam's friend (Willow) did themselves. But before the show can get under way, one of the models is murdered, followed by yet another (it just sucks being a model in this book), making a murderous trail straight for Reva.5-0 out of 5 stars Well . . .
Im going to make a short statement.Well first of all, I was full of excitement when the Silent Night books came out. . . but mainly for the covers, a crazed santa, a mob of evil model things. But was oh so dissappointed to find that this--like many of Stine's books--had no scary fictional beasts, merely a stupid kid.Although, I did enjoy the book, and suggest it to everyone.DO NOT BUY IT FOR THE COVER(S)!None of the juicy things the cover shows happends :( ... I love that this is the story of how all of the Fiers/Fears are from Fieran. It was very creative, and unexpected! This is the most revengeful, and deceitful book of all the Fear Streat novels. It really takes the cake! I would suggest you read this book before any Fear Streat novels. You know the truth about how it all began.

2-0 out of 5 stars Better Off Dead!
I picked up this book thinking is going to be more interesting this book was more fiction than real. I was reading this book for my English class period 4 this book was easy to read and easy to understand. I think people should read it if they like fiction.

It also tells of how the pendant came to be by revenge on Conn the lifetime sworn enemy of one of the most feirce warriors of the Celts...Fieran he makes the amulet and is later killed by his wife Breanna because she wants the power for herself and she reveals that she is having his child and that the family will go on for centuries...I personally loved this book and if you really love this series you will enjoy this book. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A must have for the true Buffy fan...
This is a must have for the true slayer fans. There are several groups pictures of the gang, including Angel, Cordelia & Giles. There are even "autographs" by some of the quirky regulars such as Jonathan, Larry etc., which I thought was really cool. There are even several color photos & many fun facts. A very nice edition to any Buffy collection! Eat Stake!

3-0 out of 5 stars Cute, Clever, but Not Worth the Money
I was thrilled to find this at a thrift shop for 75 cents. For that price, I'm completely satisfied, of course! It's well-produced, has some funny text (Cordelia's poem is great), and is an amusing coffee-table item. However, I was disappointed with the number of pages that were obviously there just to fulfill the "typical yearbook" role (sports teams, clubs, etc.) that had nothing to do with any of the central characters of the series, and weren't even funny. Those wastes of pages could have been filled with just about anything related to the show and I'd have been happy. The senior "quotes" were pretty worthless... what a wasted opportunity for some hilarity! But the signatures from the characters, Buffy's mom's note on behalf of MOO, etc. are certainly in the spirit of the show and will amuse fans.In short, I wouldn't pay full price for this, but I'm still glad I read it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice pics, shame about the text
Okay, I'm outing myself right now: I'm a huge fan of Buffy! (Especially the musical episode, which I could happily watch every day for the rest of my life.) But this yearbook just didn't cut it for me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Must read!!!! :)
This is definitely the best book in the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys series... :) Don't listen to anybody if they say it stunk, becuz it is really good! It has alot of Nancy/Frank stuff, and has TONS of action... I don't think you could get any more action in a book. I have read this book 4 times, and I still don't get tired of reading it! :) The thing that makes it really good is the close calls... and this book has ALOT of them! If you like a very suspenseful book, this is the one for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Shock Waves
It was an interesting mystery filled with excitement, romance and a good mystery. I would recomend this book to anybody who likes mysterys, treasure hunts, islands of mysterys and romance.

3-0 out of 5 stars Joe's keys
I think the best part was when Iola's keys were stolen, and how Joe reacted. It was great because he'll never forget her, no matter how many girlfriends he has. I loved this one. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Read it again!
The first time I read it, I didn't like it. The fact I knew who the killer was kinda took all the suspense out of it. But then, when I read it the 2nd time, I ended up actually liking it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Penetrates The Soul, Probably The Best
The Boy Next Door, by R.L.Stine, is a very unique book to the Fear Street series.

5-0 out of 5 stars dare is better than the truth
'Truth or Dare' is a really great book. It's one of R L Stine's best. It's a mystery full of suspenses. A little too much killing, though. I loved it so much that I couldn't put it down.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best book I ever read.
I like this book because it's a mystery. I also like this book because they try and solve a mystery of death. I like it because it's exciting. And the killer is...I'll let you read the book to find that out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Truth or Dare???

4-0 out of 5 stars The Deadliest game - A incredible book.
Tom Clancy's The Deadliest Game was a wonderful book. Comparing his book with his last book, Virtual Vandals, This was somewhat more than expected. I enjoyed this book even more because of the huge amounts of suspension. I admit the book was very slow to begin and i thought that there was excessive amount of description and detail in the book and not enough dialect. I really think Tom Clancy and Steve Pieczenik did a wonderful job on the book. The story of mystery holds all the aspects a good mystery should. All and all this book would have 5 stars if there was more dialect.

3-0 out of 5 stars Weak attempt at fantasy writing
Millions of people participate in the virtual reality game of Sarxos. At any time participants can enter, by logging into a pc via an implanted connection device, the wonderful world of Sarxos, where you can eat, drink, sleep and above all fight with opponents. Sarxos is the ideal escape from the daily troubles. But for some people this escape has become quite addictive. But suddenly strange things are happening: active players are being assaulted during their daily non-Sarxos life. Megan O'Malley, a joyful teenager, is asked by the Net Force agency to check things out. Because she is a frequent player no-one will notice that she has another mission at hand, at least that is was she thinks.
4-0 out of 5 stars Take a break
Control your armys, crush your foes, and strike fear in the eyes of those who oppose you. Then log off, brush your teeth, take a break then lunge back into the world of Sarxos.Tom Clancy really grasps the world of science fiction in his Net Force book The Deadliest Game.I would recomend this book for one and all.The mystery lover, to the action seeker, all readers can love this book many times over. ...
