You're gonna wanna read it!
I read this book and it's helped me a lot. It was so interesting that I read it in one weekend. It's very insightful as to what guys are feeling and how they express themselves. Some girls think guys are emotionless, insensitive THINGS. Some may be, but most just have a different way of expressing their feelings. I would recommend this book to any teenage girl! Walking With Jesus Daily
I used this book with teens for a Bible study breakfast a few years back and have not found anything this GOOD!! wish there was another like it!

Great for older youth
This is a great devotional for older youth.My kids were a bit young for some of the stories in there (like premarital sex, etc).When I realized it was too old for my 7 & 9 year olds, I gave it to my 12-year-old nephew.

My First Great Teen Devotional!

Written for teenws but great for everyone
I bought this book ofr my preteen daughter, but found it very informative myself.
highly recommended
My 6th grader really, really enjoyed this book.Not only that, but he asked for the other books in the series!Amy Welborn has done a fine job of being charitable while defending the faith...without pulling any punches.

Prove It Church
The first page I read sounded VERY interesting and I bought the book specifically for a 6th grader based on that.However the remainder of the book did not continue the story I had read on the first page.That was disappointing.The rest of the book provides basis for addressing questions.Not as entertaining as I had hoped and not an easy enough read to hold the interest of a 6th grader.I'll finish reading it, but I don't think I can convince my 6th grader to read it. ... THE STUDENT BIBLE
I work with the youth at my church and I highly recommend this particular Bible. When they created this Bible they did a good job.Thisstudent Bible has incites from one of the leading youth authors and leaders Josh Mc Dowell. His incites are PRICELESS. This Bible has life questions for the youth reader to answer and also true and false questions with the scripture references to help youth understand the scriptures. The New Living Translation is so EASY to READ.I highly recommend this Bible simply because of the incites of Josh McDowell and the easy to understand translation. GOD BLESS YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY.

MOST INCREDIBLE
I am 15. I've been a Christian for 11 years. I've read my Bible every day of my life, and God never ceases to speak to me, even when I don't understand some of what I'm reading. I picked up The Rock and God totally rocked my world!! I understand EVERYTHING and it's so relevant to me!! I definitely recommend this!!

Indispensable Guide for teens
I had the pleasure of hearing Chad Foster speak as well as reading this book when I was a teenager.It changed my life - made me realize the important things in life.Because of this book I have set realistic professional goals and worked hard to achieve them, which set me apart from most of the *clueless* people in my generation.I attribute part of my success to this book, which is thoroughly interesting and speaks the truth.

Wisdom that changes its reader
I had the fortunate job of proof reading and minor editing of this book, for translater Peter Sekerin.As I spent the many hours doingso, I found that Tolstoy's thoughts and wisdom, as you continue to read him over and over, almost permeates your thoguhts and come to mind as you go through out your day.He was a very wise and learned man, but also a very practical one.This project in its entirety are the deep thoughts of a man willing to be changed by his God, who examined and reflected thoughtfully on the world around him. In Tolstoy's footsteps, I find Peter Sekerin on a similar journey. He was and is the right man to take on this book.May you be blessed as you read Tolstoy's writings as rediscovered and presented by Peter Sekirin.

Surprises me with its excellence!
Every once in a while a book comes along which surprises me with its excellence. Well, this is definitely one of those books. When I first held the book, I could tell that the quality was high - the book has a hardcover and feels like it is quite well made.
A necessary book for anyone reflecting on what makes life meaningful
Tolstoy's Wise Thoughts for Every Day differs from his other works such as A Calendar of Wisdom written in the last ten years of his life, in that in this book nearly all of the passages are from Tolstoy himself, rather than taken from other texts or people, so we really and truly get an idea on Tolstoy's view of life and how it should be lived.Each day has a subject (such as God, Faith, Pride, One Soul in All) around which the thoughts revolve, with the subjects repeating each month.

A Great Foundation for Young Children
My husband and I were looking for a book to help our children, ages 8 and 5, understand the concept and value of money.We had started an allowance but felt like they were more eager to spend the money than to care what it was spent on and when it was lost they didn't really care.We have since stopped the allowance and decided to go through this book first.
I wish I had read the description a little closer...
This book has very little to do with money a very much to do with sending money to the church. I bought a copy for each of my girls, 16 and 18 years old, each of them very spiritual, and they were both very turned off by the "preachy" context of the book. In fact, the 18-year-old told me she felt like she learned nothing about money, and as for the spiritual side, there are better books for that as well. She was especially turned off by one passage that recommended one way of making more money is giving more to the church.

Solid in the psychological issues surrounding money
We bought this book to help teach our 7 year old how to manage her money.Where the book met expectations were the areas of values and healthy ways to think of money : Money isn't ours.We're stewards of God's money and therefore, we should spend it wisely, etc. Read more

Great for teens!
I would recommend this book to any young teenager.I've read the "adult" version, and it would be appropriate for older teens at a high reading level.I've also read this youth version, and I thought it very appropriate for kids grades 6-9, especially.The cover art is pretty juvenile, but I just had a 9th grader (age 14) borrow my copy of this book, and she loved it.

Not the best
The book was ok...it was not life changing...I think it would be great for new Christians or for young teens (12-15 years old.) I think this book was written for young teens because the way it is written makes me feel like I am reading a children's picture book.It is very repetitive and uses too many little stories to make a point.I would recommed reading Victory over the Darkness by Neil T. Anderson instead if you are older or are an advanced reader.

LIFE CHANGING
I am only half way through "Stomping Out The Darkness" and I already am compelled to tell others about this book. If you are at all interested in buying this amazing book, do it. You will not regret it. You might never realize the amazing gift you have been given when Jesus died on the cross for your sins. I have no words to describe this book except a miracle. Touching Lifechanging Stories
After reading the book, I felt that it was very touching and it conveys to us some of the problems teens face. It gives us a sense that we are not the only ones who face problems but it is quite common around the world.There are a variety of incidents which teens experience throughout the book such as love, friendships, backstabbing, and more sensitive subjects of death.This book has opened my eyes to some of the more serious problems which other teens face and has taught me to be thankful that my problems aren't as serious.This book not only was a source of entertainment, yet it also taught me to look at things from a different perspective.Although I have learned a lot from this book, I feel that some of the stories weren't that descriptive and I wasn't that absorbed into it.While reading some of the stories, were quite boring and I got tired of reading it. This book is full of life altering stories. This book helps teen's know that they are not alone in all of their doubts and problems. There are stories of real life events, such as first loves, kisses, and first experiences. There are stories of best friends, and worst foes. These stories help a teen with their everyday trials and tribulations. This book shows that teenagers are not alone in the every day problems that they are associated with. The teen's of today believe that they are the only one's that have these problems, and once they read this book they see that other people have these problems too, and they dont feel like they are alone in the world, and they feel comforted in the things they read in the book because it helps them feel more comfortable with themselves, and their insecurities. That's why i chose this book, because it helps all teen's with everyday problems. This book in my opinion deserves 5 stars.
