5-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous lessons!
I received this book as an eighth grade graduation present. I read a little then, but stopped reading. Recently, I decided I wanted to further my religion studies outside of Sunday school, so I started reading. It is fabulous! There is a little title to describe that page's theme, then a short anecdote relating to the title, and a Bible verse to support it. The passages relate to everything in a teen's life. You can carry it everywhere, too; I took it to the hair stylist yesterday to read while I wait. It is succinct and clear; my only complaint is that there is not a sequel!

5-0 out of 5 stars Portable Inspiration
God's Little Devotional Book for Teens is an inspiring compilation of short stories intended to motivate the audience, specifically teenagers, to action in life towards striving for a better character and a closer relationship with God without really pushing the religious aspect of the book, which is appealing. This book is unconventional in its methods of incentive for a closer relationship with God because it does not over-emphasize man's humanness and sin; contrarily, this book highlights man's God-given goodness and potential. The stories involved mainly deal with unlikely people achieving "impossible" goals under daunting circumstances.Other stories also within the book have to deal with the qualities that define an admirable individual. Also, throughout the book are scattered noteworthy quotes and uplifting Bible verses that make a lasting impression.I feel that the book is enjoyable and encouraging, and although it is short, it effectively makes its purpose very evident and understandable.

5-0 out of 5 stars Its worth the money
This bok is really awesome. My favorite quote is " When you were born you cried and the world rejoiced, live your life in such a manner, that when you die, you rejoice and the world cries." It really makes youthink. I love it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awakening
This book woke me up to realize there is more I can do and more that I need to do.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
first of all..."Viper" u are exactly the type of person that is corrupting our generation. do u really want our generation to be known as the ones who watched porn all day long? or most of us had sex before the age of 18? i don't know who wants to be known for that and this book is amazing and explains what is going on with our generation.

5-0 out of 5 stars It Is Time To Stand For Christ In This World!
It is awesome that the author of this book, Ron Luce, has the calling to write such a book and be bold in his words & actions. This book is not for the people who want to be lazy in their faith. This book is for serious Christian youth who want to stand up against the lies of the enemy and minister to their fellow peers.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great find
My kids found out about this Bible at school. They are not allowed to take bibles to school and this looks like a magazine.....what a great idea.

5-0 out of 5 stars What are you on about???
This is an excellent book which has hit its target incredibly well. A bible teens will actually read! To the author of 'Please not another one' I would like to point out that girls are not so stupid they need their own bible, there is also A BOYS VERSION. Who's a moron now? And complaining about the message being changed as its translated? How many times has it already been translated. If you think that changes the message maybe you shouldnt be reading any sort of bible because incase you dont remember, Jesus was not american or indeed english for that matter. HE DIDNT SPEAK ENGLISH. Its been translated already to make it relevant to people who speak english so whats the harm in making it relevant to teenagers???

4-0 out of 5 stars What do you want in a Bible, dang it?!?
I love how all the adults love to wax poetically about how this is a piece of trash and how it degrades girls.Newsflash, people.Girls are degraded on a daily basis by everyone.Jesus (and I'm assuming you're interested in this Bible because you're a christian) met people where they were, and talked to them in a language they all understood. That's why he talked in Aramaic and not Hebrew to them, so they could understand how much God loved them.Girls? What do your girls talk about? How fat do I look. How good do I look. How do I get him to like me.My parents hate me.Why do I not feel good enough. My friends all turned their back on me.What should I do if I feel pressured into a sexual situation. Why doesn't anyone love me? That's what are thinking.Trust me, I hear it everyday.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great resource for youth
Amy Welborn's latest addition to the Prove It! Series is a great resource for teens. As an accompaniment to the complete New American Bible, this paperback edition includes a series of Prove It! inserts that make this a great Bible for teens and young adults. The book's introduction is addressed at the questions of why and how to read the Bible.Additional topics covered throughout the main sections of the Bible include answers to basic (and not so basic) questions about God, Jesus, the Church, prayer and more.A special concluding section entitled "the map" is an excellent compilation of important data and prayers that should form the basis of catechesis for any young Catholic.Along with all of our traditional prayers, the Stations of the Cross, the Mysteries of the Rosary and much more are included.

5-0 out of 5 stars revolve does it again!
This new "edition" of Revolve contains the book of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon.I found it to be very worthwhile, and for the first time in my life, I actually sat through and read the book of Job, as well as Song of Songs, without getting bored. This BibleZine has the same format as the previous Revolve, with even more questions, more info, and it is even nicer than its predecessor, the Revolve Complete New Testament. This is written in the New Century Version, which is very easy to read and understand. It is very eye-catching and even catches the attention of my LDS roommates who are shocked to see it as a portion of the Bible. I can't wait for other editions of Revolve, and I hope my parents' generation will see this as what it is: a ploy to get teen and college aged women to read the Bible, cover to cover, which is evangelism.Ever heard of reaching people where they are?Of course, I've met children's librarians who are so detached from the young people that they convieniently forget to buy the latest Gossip Girl or Princess Diaries books, and I even met one once who had an axe to grind with the likes of Junie B. Jones, Captain Underpants, and the American Girls Collection (All the while pondering what made kids, teens, and college students enjoy Harry Potter and the Series of Unfortunate Events so much). This book is highly recommended for anyone who has ever gotten stuck in the book of Deutoronomy and gave up reading the Bible for good. When all you see are boring school textbooks all day, regardless of how old you are, whatever you decide to read on your spare time had better be bright and attractive and bear no resemblance to your Psychology textbook. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars loved it
I really loved this book. I like reading the kind of books where other people tell there story and you can relate to it. thats why i realy love this book because all of the story;s you can totally relate to and it has stories that are just like the real life and high scchool and the things you go through every day. When i read this book it helped me like deal with things because it had like stories and poems of things i would be going through right then and to know like other kids go through them too and like all friends can be the same. I always enjoy these books and when i read them i cant put them down.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Holiday Gift!!
I saw this book listed as one of Barnes and Nobles holiday gift ideas... and it is!I got several copies for all my friends who have teenagers (and for my teenage niece and nephews). The book does a wonderful job of getting the teenagers point of view across through the personal stories, reflections and interviews. It's not an adult's idea of what today's teenage experience is all about (let's face it, many of us are long past that trying time) but approaches it from their point of view and articulates in a readable entertaining format for adults and teens.Another great addition to this terrific series. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the young Christian
This "Teen" Bible is not just for teenagers as this world views Children, Teenagers, young Adults, Adults and Elders. Treat this Extreme Teen Bible as Jesus looks at your level in Christ, this is plain and simple for the TRUE YOUNG Christian that desperatly want a begining for learning how to studying the Word of God.

5-0 out of 5 stars extreme teen bible for extreme teen
my 13 year old son has learning disabillities as well as difficulty reading. the last thing he would try to read is the bible as to him it is overwhelming, a little boring and very hard to underststand, not the case with the extreme teen bible, and i give it a high rating as it is a special bible for special people

2-0 out of 5 stars Religious, but flawed
I was excited by much of this bible. It's extreme in a way that a teen like myself can understand. It is full of rules for life that I am following in an extreme way. There are only some problems with it. I would have liked to see more about God, and sometimes they spell Jesus 'Jebus' and unless there's a guy named Jebus in the grownup bible that's a mistake. There might be a guy named Jebus, though, I don't know because I only read this bible because it's extreme. ... Read more

Diane Mastromarino's book is an empowering book for teens, but tweens can also benefit from her advice.Straightforward about concerns girls face like body image and school stresses, this book is easy to read and non-stressful.My little sister will appreciate this book as a gift.

5-0 out of 5 stars FINALLY, a book that middle school girls can relate to!
This is a fantastic book for any teen/tween girl. In short, concise, humorous chapters, this book tells the truth about all things stressful to young ladies. It discusses self-image, boyfriends, siblings, families, divorce, eating disorders, clothing choices, friendship problems, etc. etc. etc.

I am a youth pastor and am currently using this book for a basis for a middle school small group. They are encouraged to read it every day.It is hard to find a good "daily devotional" book suitable for young teens. This book has a scripture and an explanation, then leaves the reader with a thought or challenge for the day.It is great for the teen wishing to start or continue a daily devotion habit, and is also working great as a "read and discuss" small group platform. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A great beginner study Bible
I have used several Bibles and translations over the years, and fell in love with this one the first time I saw it.While marketed as a teen study Bible in my local Christian book store, I have found it to be one of the best study bibles that I have ever worked with. The questions in the Margins are relevant and thought provoking. The trivia and background information were interesting and brought the relevant passages alive. My (teen) Sunday school class really enjoyed using my copy in class as this often explained the passage better than our text did.
5-0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING
The only Bible I know I have two of.It's that great of a Bible.I have one I keep with me everywhere especially when I'm traveling on official military orders, and then I have the other TQ Bible back home in Orlando with my family. It's a must have Bible for any Christian. It's words are broken down 'barney-style' so everyone can understand it.It has an awesome concordance in the back, so whether it's flipping through the Books for Sunday Sermon, or you want to experience it by yourself on various subjects.I don't like, I absolutely LOVE it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wouldn't trade it for another
I am a 19 year old college student and this Bible is excellent for teenagers and college students alike. If you like to take notes in your Bible like I do, you will love this Bible! It provides plenty of margin room for note-takers.Also in the margins are questions that stir up the mind, but they aren't enough to get in the way if you don't like to use them.Every once in awhile I will refer to these questions but most of the time I write over them.At the bottom of each margin is a key verse which is good for a spice of inspiration throughout the day.Another helpful key is the biographies of the Biblical characters at each mention of his/her name. They are very interesting and stimulating!Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My Book Review
This is really an amazing book! It goes through all the things that are going on in a basically a teenage girls life. The things Casey Gibbons wrote are the same things that I am thinking and feeling every day! It really shows you how to walk with God and all that you can do to be all you can be and do all you can do with God in your life. A Girl's life with God goes through major issues in today's culture and it helps a lot to be able to know how to handle these things and to realize we can just turn to God and He'll work in us.

5-0 out of 5 stars A "Must Read" for every Teen
If you know a teenage girl between the ages of 13 and 18, you have to give her this book!Daughter, granddaughter, niece, neighbor, they will all enjoy reading this book.It answers many of life's toughest teen questions:Peer pressure, dating, smoking, clothes, self-esteem, and, most importantly, building a strong relationship with God and walking in their faith daily.Comments I have heard include:"I couldn't put it down.""My mother and I both love this book!""I'm a grown woman and I'm buying this book for me.I didn't have this kind of information available when I was a teen."A Girl's Life With God, is practical, inspirational and easy to read. There's evena question and answer session at the end of each chapter to help girls remember what they read and apply it right away! It's great! What a blessing for every teenage girl! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A Good first devotion book
This book is great for someone just starting out with devotions. It's more implied to new comer Christians but is packed full with information and prayer, and loads of topics on every teens mind. It breaks subjects down day by day, and can really bring you closer to Christ. A Good christmas present so they can start on the first day of the year!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!
Being a teenager myself, I can truly say that there are not many devotionals out there that I really have an interest in. Even some of the ones for teens I find not so great. However, this one really is the best. The stories for each day of the year are applicable in our everyday lives and the scriptures help to encourage and build-up your spirit. And it is not so advanced that the beginner can not understand it. Being a Christian teenager today is not easy and getting the word of God is so important and this book really helps. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars God book
This is a really good book for middle school - high school age kids. I recieved this book as a gift from a friend because everyday i had the worse time at opening up my locker. I read it off and on...now a couple years later I have revisited it and found it very enlightning. May fave idea from the book is...give it to God cause there is nothing you can do about it with out him.

5-0 out of 5 stars my guide
years ago i picked this book up from my church's library and took it to work with me. it turns out that this book changed my life. reading it opened my eyes to accept Christ. i've been looking for it ever since. it cuts straight to the chase and gives clear reasons for following God.

5-0 out of 5 stars A No-frills, Straight to the Point Devotional
After searching a long time to find a devotional just right for me I picked this one up a my local library.Unlike many of the devotional guides I've encountered this one is very direct and doesn't waste a lot of space trying to keep you entertained. It speaks right to the point, without being too blunt or preachy.Althought it's not especially funny it WILL draw you closer to God. If your looking for a real condensed devotional, then this is the book for you; if you want something more lighthearted, try one of Martha Bolton's books. I'm so glad God gave me this book!!!! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great for New Christians from 12-18
I recently purchased three copies of this book for some youthin my Sunday School class who recently accepted Christ. I found thatit covered all of the questions they had and still was on their level! His wit made it very easy for them to learn and urged them to dig in the Bible for answers. It can also be easily adapted for Bible studies with any size group! ... Read more
