5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book!
Every time I pick up this book, I feel a call to pursue the God who gave everything for me.
4-0 out of 5 stars A Book to read!
Shannon Kubiak, author of God Called a Girl tells us that her book is not about Mary as much as it is about God and what God did with one willing teenager committed to Him. And it is about what He can do with all teenagers that are committed to Him and to being world changers.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great book!
Man....I dunno where to begin with this book. Yeah its that awesome! I've just started reading it and I'm abt 80 pages into it but lemme tell ya , Its just as good if not better than the rest of them in the "Stories 4 the Teens heart" series! I don't think the stories are just for teens either , anyone can read them and they are sure to enjoy them. The stories talk about real life situations and how others have coped with them. This book can really cheer a person up and help them out. I hope anyone who veiws this would read it and enjoy it! Best wishes to all ya'll out there!

5-0 out of 5 stars Inspiring People
This book was an inspiration to me. I am going through a lot of hard times right now and this book has helped me see that my problems aren't as bad as I thought they were. One of my favorite stories would have to be "Miracle at the Mall" on page 314. There's always a different way God lets people know he cares and loves us. I look forward to future books by Alice Gray. Also, I would like to thank the people who allowed their stories to be published.

5-0 out of 5 stars Probably the best book out there on the subject
When it comes to the subject of sex, every book out there thats Christian (or sort of Christian, like this one is), typically tells us kids to "Just Don't Do It,' or 'Stop!' or Wait." The first message is always a negative message--NO. What's cool about this book is that it starts out with a postive message, that sex is a good thing. We don't hear that a lot today. Also, the book is pretty funny--like, it starts out talking about how we live in such a sex-saturated society, and what if something out there was talked about as much as sex, something random, like cheesecake. So it's all like the Joy of Cheesecake, or Cheesecakes gone wild, or the 40-year-old cheesecake, or whatever. That's a good point the author makes, becuase it's like, give me a break. Everywhere you go, people are always talking about sex. So this is a good book. It just lets you figure out stuff for yourself.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Series for Teenagers!
I have a teenage daughter and this book was perfect for her.I read through it first before giving it to her and I really liked how the author talks directly to the teen.He talks their language and offers hard facts but keeps the book Christ-centered.I think teens still have a tendency to have short spans of attention and the variety of each page keeps them interested and allows the information to sink in.Congratulations to the publisher and the author, Marcus Brotherton, for presenting teens and youth workers with a new way of looking at tough subjects.I look forward to ordering the rest of the FlipSwitch series books.

5-0 out of 5 stars get this for your teen or youth ministry
Put this book in the hand of teens who wrestle with the hyped-up message that sex is casual, means nothing, and there are no consequences. It's truthful, right where a teen lives, and it's easy to read in one setting. In fact, when you start reading you just keep on going because it's that real. Thanks for making a product that actually matters.

5-0 out of 5 stars Starry Starry night
Starry Starry Night is about a girl's mom who's pregnant. Her daughter and husband are really exited and ready for the baby to come, but when its time for her to have the baby, they find out that the baby won't live too long because only half of her brain developed. They try to donate her organs to other babies who needed it, but, once they all decided that it was right they found out they couldn't do it because once the baby had died her organs would be useless.
5-0 out of 5 stars This book is very interesting and you should read it.
I thought that this book was interesting, sad, and happy altogether. This book is around Christmas time, it has to do with babies and people dieing. It sounds like you wouldn't want to read it, but it really isn't that sad. Thats I recamend you to read this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Way of Youth for Everyone
This volume deals in a Q & A format with issues of concern to all young people.Although Daisaku Ikeda is a Buddhist leader, his answers deal with humanity and the wisdom inherent in it rather than with religion -- it is for everyone. As one reads through the book, a common message emerges vividly although never dealt with directly: you are most valuable and precious; find your own voice and use it without fear; find your own self and value it deeply.By the end of the book, the reader finds himself/herself viewing things in a very positive light.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
This book is an excellent collection of Buddhist responses to the questions of today's young people. "The Way of Youth" includes topics like building confidence, respecting yourself and others, developing happiness from within, dealing with peer pressure and contributing to a peaceful world. The book is written for a general audience and I believe it appeals to both teens and parents regardless of their religious beliefs.I also highly recommend a book called "Open Your Mind, Open Your Life: A Little Book of Eastern Wisdom" by a young Buddhist author named Taro Gold. Excellent!

5-0 out of 5 stars Bitesized bits of wisdom, not just for kids
I bought this book as a way of offering my daughter guidance from a Buddhist perspective without having to "lecture" (as she would put it...no matter how hard I try not to "lecture"...)and ended up really appreciating it myself. We're surrounded every day with Christian-based motivational books, full of wonderful sentiments, but also pushing a lot of faith-based inspiration that just doesn't fit our lives. This book was, of course, a quick read, but that's perfect for my 12 year old.I was able to just leave it out for her to glance at, and from the few comments she's made, I think it was helpful. ... I really liked this book, it made me think a lot about the realtionships between me and my friends and family. One story really made me think my friend hannah and I. I learned a lot from this book and I look forward to reading more like this.

5-0 out of 5 stars A very good book.
I think that this book was very good and it tells young girls how to deal with every day life.It also talks about stories that young girls might not have gone though yet in their life.It talks about love and hope for a young girl's heart.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not to bad
This book has positive messages for teen's hearts, but this book isn't as interesting, as fulfilling, or as entertaining as other books similar to this that are on the market. Instead I would recomend the Chicken Soup books made for teens, The Teen Ink series, or Taste Berries for Teens. These are the books that I think are of better quality. There is more to read in these books as well. But this is only one teen's opinion. :D ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Discover The Best God Has For You!
This book is truly one of the best books I have ever read. I have a somewhat busy schedule, but as soon as I had an open day, I sat down and read the remainder of the book I had left. That is how thrilling this book is! This book is so inspiring to me, and it really makes me consider what God wants me to do with my life. The main two ideas of this book are what McDowell (the author) calls "God's Universal Will" (for everyone) and "God's Specific Will" (for each person individually). McDowell uses scripture after scripture to logically show what God's Universal Will is for the following desires of teenagers: (Also the titles of the chapters in this book)
5-0 out of 5 stars Good book!
I really enjoyed reading this book. Well, I'm not really done reading it, I'm halfway through the book, but so far, I really like the book! Everyone should read it, definetly. It talks about many different things. It's basically about the desires of the human heart (taken from a poll of church-going youth) and how God has a specific plan for you to experience each of them. I love this book so far!!!! ... Read more
