This book provides great insight into spiritual warfare. It is a rare find that captivates it's audience and is based on sound Biblical teaching. It adresses something that is all to common in our society and modivates Christians to make a difference. I would recomend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about spiritual warfare, or just enjoy a great read.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth your time.
First of all, I have a confession to make: this is only book of the series that I have read. Thus, I'll try to focus this review on this book alone, and not judge all the others. But please bear with me if I do drift off in that direction.

all the books on alias series gives you different info more than u see on tv.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mystery worth reading
For those new to Alias or even want an extra glimpse (pre-Alias) of Sydney Bristow, this prequel is worth reading. It sets up Sydney as we know her, but still new to the job as a spy.The descriptions of the Scottish castle is creepy enough.Something of a traditional mystery and spy novel.Sydney does get a chance to kick some major butt, too.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun, Light Read
Being a die-hard fan of the show, I have read the other books in the Alias series, but had a bit of trouble finding this one. It was an amusing, fast read, but I thought it was lacking in plot. All Sydney does is hang around in a castle while her co-inhabitants are picked off one by one. The real action does not happen until the very end of the book. I thought the scene showing how she gets to know the hunky Burke was the high point of the book. ... Read more

After seeing and loving the movie, I had to check out the book. Very well done. This is one excellent story. Good job Mr. Shamaylon.
5-0 out of 5 stars Very Satisfying Read
Unlike most of you that read this book, I never did see the movie, so when I picked this up I knew virtually nothing about the story.Although it does have its suspenseful moments, I would not classify this as a "horror" story. Not a slasher tale, but a VERY emotionally moving tale about the preciousness of life.I foundit extremely well written with some rather unexpected plot twists.5-0 out of 5 stars COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars So Yesterday
So Yesterday is an excellent book.If you love details and interesting twists and turns, this is the book for you. The main character is Hunter--he views commercials and looks for new fads in fashion, technology, anything. The he meets Jen, a risk taking innovator, he met her while taking pictures of her shoelaces. She leads Hunter on a wild goose chase to figure out where his missing boss went. When they find her phone, things really get interesting. This book is fast-paced so pay attention and remember every detail, it will come in handy later. This is one of the best books Iread from Scott Westerfeld.I love how you never know what's going to come next. Im sure you will enjoy this book.

2-0 out of 5 stars So Different

4-0 out of 5 stars It was really interesting...... and then it died
So yesterday was filled with the aurthors opinions but ones based on hard fact and history, which really does repeat itself. I not too sure about the whole underground clients and Jammers (you'll understand if you read) but nevertheless, it really does make you think how the fashion pyramid really works. And how the "glue" of society really does belong to the consumer. All in all, if was a enjoyable book, but it had no real resolution.

5-0 out of 5 stars "Boy Heaven" is a must read...
...and not just for young adults.I am a mother to an eighteen-year-old daughter and I was compelled to read this novel to the end in just two sittings.Kasischke's take on an urban legend through the lives of three teenage girls and the boys they touch is riveting.Although I was much different as a teen than the girls portrayed in this novel, Kasischke brings in many familiar adolescent details--emotions, group and individual behaviors--things I haven't thought about in years.I felt like I knew these girls, and that I had more in common with them than I'd want to admit. The plot is fast-paced and glimmers with sexy danger.Kasischke's use of language in this novel is just gorgeous.Every image contributes to the plot in crucial ways."Boy Heaven" is one of the most expertly crafted stories I've read in a while; every image means something, every character feels real, every plot line is explored fully.I can't wait for my daughter to finish it so we can talk about the surprise ending. This book is girl heaven!

5-0 out of 5 stars A collection of some of the best detective stories ever.
DETECTIVE STORIES is a wonderful compilation of a few of the best detective stories that have ever been written. Some stories, others elaborate, some puzzling, and some rather comical, this wonderful novel includes mysteries written by legendary detective authors such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Ellery Queen, Raymond Smullyan, Issac Asimov, Italo Calvino, And Tony Fletcher. The first story, THE SPECKLED BAND, is by Arthur Conan Doyle and features everyone's favorite detective: Sherlock Holmes. It's a little bit of a scary story involving a terrified woman who hears the strange, low whistle is the night air that once killed her sister while she was sleeping. The mystery is deep and dangerous, and chilling. Another personal favorite of mine was THE CROSS OF LORRAINE by Isaac Asimov, which elaborately tells the story of a keen magician who met a woman who disappeared as soon as he took a liking in her. Even he can't find her, and when he tells the story of the vanished lady to guests at a dinner, the plot of the mysterious vanishing thickens. Yet another wonderful mystery is that of FINGERPRINTING A GHOST, by Tony Fletcher. It is a frightening tale that involves the obvious supernatural: taking the fingerprints of a mysterious ghost that appears and reappears in an old house in order to solve a mystery. These are just some of the mysteries available in this great novel selected by my favorite author, Philip Pullman, who also wrote the wonderful HIS DARK MATERIALS trilogy and the thrilling Sally Lockhart mystery trilogy. It even has one very silly and comical story just for fun in case the reader has had too many serious reads. Any detective story fan shouldn't miss out on this thrilling read, perfect just before bed when it is at the peak of its fright.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book!
This book was the scariest book I have ever read. All of the characters are deep, and the plots are very complex and twisted. It is a thuroughly enchanting book, all of the books in it, I should say. All of the stories grab you and don't let go. It's a full time thriller, you can't get away. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Holds interest
Great for a teen reader. I write YA, so I read YA. As YA's go, this was engaging and for the most part held my interest to the end. The plot often took unbelieveable jags, but most kids wouldn't probably notice those. Overall, the book felt like I was watching a movie made for television on the Disney channel complete with nasty bad guys, dead guys and nail biting suspense.

5-0 out of 5 stars At first...
I thought this would be a BORING book.I had to find a book for my L.A. project and chose this randomly.I just finished reading it-and to my surprise-it was so exciting! It was very suspenseful, deep, and kept me on the edge of my chair!I couldn't help but turn the page continuously and read for hours.I am unusually like this unless I am reading a REALLY good book. And that's what this is--a REALLY good book and more!

5-0 out of 5 stars No time to die!
This story is filled with unbelievable twist. It will keep you at the edge of your sit, and the ending was amazing. You won't believe what happens and you really will not guess who the killer is! I give this story five stars, a great job by Elizabeth Chandler.

Jenny's sister, Liza, was murdered while she was at drama camp and Jenny went there to find out if it really was a serial killer who did it. While she's there, Jenny keeps having these visions that are like memories of what Liza saw near to the time when she was murdered. Jenny is finding more and more clues and has many suspects. She doesnt think it was a serial killer, she thinks it was someone that knew Liza, and she needs to find out because they might try to kill her next. Jenny keeps touching things that give her chills and suggest that they had to do with the murder, like a hammer that she had a vision of being the murder weapon, and sometimes she has visions when she stands in a place that Liza was. Jenny doesnt tell the people there that she is Liza's sister and subtly asks around to find out more. Will she find out who the murderer is before they get her too? Read it to find out!! ... As a big Nancy Drew fan I found this book exciting and one of the best books in the Super Mystery series. It has excitment and suspence, not to mention mystery! As Nancy finds herself and Bess( Nancy's best friend) inthe romantic islands of Greece she also finds herself a mystery as a newfriend of hers,Alexis Canstantine, is kidnapped. Well just as she alwaysdoes, Nancy sees this as a chance for a much enjoyable mystery. Meanwhilethe famous brothers, Frank and Joe Hardy, also find them selves in Greecebut for a different reason. They are there to follow a man accused ofstealing a dozen of U.S. super powered misiles. I give this book two thumbsup! It was an exciting page turner, you won't be able to put it down!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Road Trip for 'Buffy' and the Scooby Gang
Sunnydale is known to be situated right upon the Hellmouth, so it's not a big surprise when demons of all sorts start piling into the small town. But when a collection of trolls, sea monsters, werewolves, toads, skyquakes, and numerous other strange things - stranger than normal things - begin infiltrating Sunnydale, Buffy knows that something isn't quite right. And with Giles hospitalized over three-thousand miles away, Buffy knows that it's more than one Slayer can handle. Especially when each ugly is coming through an old portal from centuries ago, through time and space. Buffy knows that the hell-hole must be found and corked ASAP, which means that Buffy, Angel, and the rest of the Scooby Gang are headed to Boston to meet up with the Gatekeeper. However, once there, Buffy finds that the supernatural mansion that the Gatekeeper reigns over, is home to thousands of rooms, all of which are entrances to so-called "ghost roads," that could bring Buffy face-to-face with some of the most evil beings on earth. Evil beings who are dying to teach the Slayer a lesson.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best thing since a BeDazzler
Jasmine is trying to enjoy her family vacation in Las Vegas. All this would require would be avoiding her cousin, Alyson, and her friend, Veronique, prove to her dad that she is indeed a Model Daughter, and, oh yeah, meet the hot guy she spotted across the pool. Then all of a sudden, Jas is thrust into the middle of a Las Vegas mystery.Luckily, she enjoys amateur sleuthing, and her friends come into town to help her find a murderer, save a little boy and a woman, and maybe themselves, in an experience that is so totally Mastercard (priceless). And just for the record, it's all the cat's fault.Michele Jaffe's debut novel for young adults will not disappoint fans of Meg Cabot and Louise Rennison.Humor, intrigue, and a hot guy: what more could a reader want?

5-0 out of 5 stars Mastercard!!!
This book is one of my American Expresses. I don't leave home without it! Bad Kitty's witty comebacks, snappy dialouge, fast-paces mystery, and thrilling plot make it one of my favorites. I cracked up laughing at the footnotes and Little Life Lessons, and wished I had friends as funny as Roxy, Polly, Tom and Jas. Michelle Jaffe is an expert at writing a book that captures the attention of teen girls and makes your sides split wih laughter. I read it over and over and over, and I absolutley LOVE the little computer-people that Polly makes. The Henchtwins are perfect villians, although I found myself liking Veronique and her analyzing, "How To for Dummies" self. I fell in love with Jack and smiled when Fred got Jas into trouble. I really love this book and hope other people read and enjoy it. I would recomend it to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars It was Visa, oh and also Mastercard!
I can't believe how much I enjoyed this book!! I mean at first when my friend lent me the book I was hesitate because it seemed a little boring, but once I started I couldn't stop reading. This is the perfect book for teenagers because it deals with realistic problems, but also unrealistic for those teens, like myself, who enjoy a little fantasy. Personally, the little fights that they had at the bottom of the page was my favorite part, and of course the ending. I also really liked Alison and Veronique. I thought they were a good addition to the book. Cheesy but adorable. If you are even curious about this book read it and you won't be dissapointed. It's a clever, mystery, suspence, romance, comedy, action sort of book. The story flows well and it's cute to boot. Okay im going to leave now before I get cheesy on you, but seriously do read this! 5-0 out of 5 stars Best One EVER!!!
This is the best book! in the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys uper Mystery. Although it does have some questions such as how did Nancy get in the FBI? I don't know. Ifyou put that all aside, its and action packed aventure. Betrayl, adventure, and..... murder are all in this one book. This is a must read! (if you have read this already, read Evil in Amsterdam. That's the second best Nancy Drew and Hardy boys Super Mystery. ALMOST came in first but Spies and Lies pulled through!)

1-0 out of 5 stars I failed to suspend my disbelief...
To enjoy a work of fiction, you have to be able to suspend your disbelief. That is, the author has to give you a setting that you think could be plausible in this or some other world.4-0 out of 5 stars spies and lies....
i really liked this nancy drew and hardy boys super mystery. it was intriuging and suspenseful. i especially liked the ending of it because it was hard to guess who the culprit of the crime was. joe and frank's mystery was not as good as nancy's in the story though. which is okay because a lot of times their mystery is a lot more suspenseful. as for the romance aspect a different guy other then frank liked nancy and i really want nancy and frank to hook up so i was disappointed but overall it was a smashing book. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Little Disappointments!
After reading the back cover of "Sins of the Father" I got totally excited! I thought Id finally found an actual Angel/Buffy story based on their pre-Angelus relationship. I have gotten really tired with all of the stories of the Buffy/Angel trials post season two. Their relationship just became too predictable. And I thought now with "Sins of the Father" it was going to be different. Christopher Golden came up with the best story/plot line. Pike, Angel. Angel, Pike. Past love meets the Present. Perfect! Think of the conflict. I was looking forward to Angel fighting with Pike for Buffy's love. But no! Of course not! It's based in season three. So if you are an extreme Buffy/Angel fan like me, you can see the disappointment with the entire situation.4-0 out of 5 stars Giles' dad a vampire. Huh!
This book is great for a good read(espicially if your a buffy fan, like me)can get boring in thhe middle though, but what gets me is that giles' dad is a vampire until the end when you find out the truth(they never mentioned that in the t.v series). Also pike, isn't he the guy in season two lie to me? anyway this is a good book with lots of questions to it and also good if your a big fan of giles.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sins of the Father
In the past couple of years I have read a lot of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer books and this one, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sins of the Father by Christopher Golden, has been the best so far. This book helps explain the connection between the movie and the TV series. The one character from the movie, Pike comes to Buffy and her gang, for help from the monster that has been following him. They all get together to defeat this "big-bad" like they always do. The past is pretty much revisited in this book.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A beautiful, heartwarming story of redemption through the ages
A wonderful story to read aloud, as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars BUT HOW?
The story is wonderful and keeps the reader wonder to the last page of the story.
5-0 out of 5 stars I had so much fun reading this!
Another fantastic book from Jostein Gaarder. It has some profound ideas disguised as light reading. I really identified with characters in both stories -- the island reminded me of the people I have to deal with on a daily basis! It certainly prompts you to examine the choices you make, and those of the people around you. Life can be more than just going through the actions to achieve some end. Also, it's not a terrible thing to question what's going on around you, though it may be frustrating. That's what I like about Jostein Gaarder's novels: they present some extremely thought-provoking questions in an extremely imaginative and entertaining way. I've recommended this book to many people, and they all loved it!

5-0 out of 5 stars BAM!!
I read this book recently and really loved it. i am now starting the 2nd one, Lulu Dark and the summer of the Fox. the writing is very good, but the only weird thing about this book is that it seems like its written by a girl but really,Bennett Madison is a guy.?

5-0 out of 5 stars This is an Awesome Book!
I thought that this book was really great. It's about a girl named Lulu Dark. She goes to a party one night and her beloved purse is stolen. She goes to find out who took it and she starts to become more and more like a detective everyday, the very people she despises, as she puts the pieces of the mystery puzzle together, trying to figure out who took her purse. The plot took many unexpected turns which made the book suspenseful, which is the main reason why I liked it. In the end, I was shocked to find out who the culprit was.
4-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, but Little More Than That
If you're looking for a quick read (that mirrors those notorious chick-flicks), look no further. Lulu wasn't a bad book, it just was a littleover-clichd in some parts. I didn't feel like I got very much from it...it was like watching a TV show.

5-0 out of 5 stars A ripping good sequel!
Prowlers, for the uninitiated, are creatures who are similar to werewolves, but stripped of magical powers. Prowlers do have longevity in life, are impossibly quick and strong, and are feral and all too willing to use humans as their main dietary means. There are very few prowlers who show great restraint and are willing to treat humans as equals, Bill Cantwell being a prime prowler example of this. Prowlers are ancient monsters who can take on human form to blend in and lull their favorite prey. They aren't compelled to change forms when the moon is full, and any bullet - not just silver - can hurt and kill them. And they can't infect you with a scratch or bite. They just pretty much scratch and bite you because they enjoy mutilating and then snacking on you. 5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic follow up to a great new series.
Christopher Golden is an author you can trust. He is a great storyteller and has a clear, cinematic style to his work. This sequel to his first PROWLERS novel, follows young Jack Sawyer on his journey to destroy the menacing Prowlers; a race of shape-shifting werewolves that live among humans. Jack is guided by a deceased friend and others in the "Ghostlands". He has the ability to see the other side and tries to avenge their deaths by the prowlers. This time, Jack and Molly, follow a bloody trail to a small rural town where the Prowlers seem unusually active. A great read and an action packed horror thriller. I can't wait for the next in the series. Thank you Mr. Golden!

5-0 out of 5 stars The thrilling second book in the Prowlers series.
When Jack and Molly read on the Internet about some brutal deaths in the rural town of Buckton, Vermont, they suspect that Prowlers are responsible. Determined to uncover the truth, Jack and Molly head for Buckton. When the arrive, Jack, who has the ability to see and speak to ghosts, learns the a pack of Prowlers has been responsible for deaths in the area for decades. Jack and Molly are determined to stop the Prowlers, but in this small, close-knit town where everyone is suspicious of outsiders, it's going to be hard to figure out who's human and who's not. But Jack and Molly are determined to find the Pack before they kill again. Readers who enjoyed the first book in this series won't want to miss this one. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Spy Goddess is a great book!
I read this in practically one sitting. I LOVED it! The main character, Rachel Buchanan,is a spunky, rebellious, 15 year old with a big imagination. I think any teen would like reading this book.
5-0 out of 5 stars A really great read
I picked up this book in paperback because I was intigued by the title. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. It was a story that just kept me turning the pages and I got mad when I had to stop reading because of homework.
4-0 out of 5 stars Mildly intresting Novel
From the title and summary of this book I was expecting a girl power, slightly unrealistic "teen-ish" book; it was quite the opposite. Although the story line is entertaining I find the parallel universe, evil-out-to-get-the-world villain out of place.
