Better for tutoring than the AP Test
i go through calculus books the way some people go through Kleenex so i'll just say this:if you are needing review or find your calculus text book verbose or maybe just some extra help in a lower level calc class purchse this one.

I bought princeton U.S. history ap and calculus Ap this year.
This book's not so awesome. . .
Well, I used this book in preparation for my Calculus AB exam.Some of this text's features bothered me when I was studying.For one, the book wasn't well organized, as there was no clear distinction between what was AB material and what was solely BC material.You can sort of figure that out for yourself, however, if you know what's tested pretty well.Also, I disliked the problems that were like, "Try it on your own.".There are too many problems that get redundant pretty quickly.If you can do one, you can do several of them.Also, for the few problems that you cannot work out, there is no guide in the back that tells you step-by-step how to do them.There is only an answer key in the back.Also, the practice tests are a bit too easy.

Hatchet is my Favorite Book
Hatchet is my favorite book, this is a book where a boy whos parents are divorced and goes to visit his father and takes a single engine plane and and plane crashed into a river. The pilot suffers a heart attack and dies, the Boy, Brian survives and manages to live in the middle of no where for about a year, The boys mother, gave him a hatchet for his birthday and the hatchet represents life for without it the boy would not have been able to survive. The boy eventully gets rescued and flys back.

Great Book
This book is great so far. It is full of mystery and adventure. Twelve year old Claudia has run away with her brother Jamie to the Metropilan Muesum of Art. Claudia decided to bring along her brother Jamie with her because he has a lot of money. While they are there at the muesum, Claudia and Jamie come across a great mystery in the muesum that is all over the newspaper. If you would like to find out what this great mystery read this book! Teachers it is also a great book to read with your class. Also edutactional!

Not mixed-up about how good this book is
This Newbery award winner is about Claudia and Jamie, two kids who run away from home. They leave the suburbs and head to New York where they stay in none other than the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They sleep in an old bed in the French section. They hide in the bathrooms. They even take baths in a fountain (and get paid for it, sort of)!But when a new exhibit comes in, the fun really starts. The Angel is beautiful, exquisite, and mysterious. The question: is the sculpture really done by Michelangelo? Claudia and Jamie will do anything to find out. I think I loved the book mostly because I really liked the idea of living in a museum. This book is good for all ages, but I expected it to be longer.

Vocab List VERY HELPFuL
It has a very extensive vocabulary list with almost every SAT word possible! (I would say about 99% of all words are listed). They also provide sentences with word which helps tremendously in understanding the word in context. I would highly recommend this book if you need to improve your vocabulary.

Being the new girl at school isn't easy, but what's even harder is when you're living in the guesthouse of the most popular girl at school and she doesn't want anything to do with you. Of course wearing overalls and Keds don't help out much when you go to a school that is all about fashion. When Claire's father goes to work for one of his friends from college Claire's family moves to the Block Estate's guesthouse, Massie's guesthouse, and Claire wants to be in the plans that Massie and her friends make, but soon realizes that it isn't as easy as it seems. Massie's list of LBR's, losers beyond repair, has just got its newest member, Claire. Trying everything that Claire can think to do to become friends with Massie and her BFFL, best friends for life, Claire has been nice and she has even tried to share her gummies with them but nothing works. Then finally she decides that she is going to go into Massie's room but she isn't sure what she is going to do there when all of a sudden an alarm sounding noise coming from her computer and find out that it is Massie's AIM was receiving an IM. It's Kristen, Claire pretends to be Massie almost every night for a week and Claire gets Massie's friends to turn to be her friends. They spend days at the mall buying clothes for Claire because she doesn't own alot of clothes. They spend time at each others house and spend the night, but when the plan takes an unexpected turn, Claire is now one of the most hated girls at their school because Massie found out about Claire sneaking into her room every night. Later that month at the auction Claire donates everything that Massie's friends bought her because her parent made her, so she buys the clothes and gives the clothes back to who bought them for her.
EHMAGOD....ITS THE PRETTY COMMITEE
Social Suicide is the point where 7th grader Massie Block is experience. When Massies best friend over hears girls at school talk about Massie falling off she is desperate for a plan to stay on top at OCD. She decides to throw a boy-girl Halloween party to keep her statice. The only problem is she has t throw it with Claire, her enemy, and the biggest loser in school. Think that's a problem, when THE PRETTY COMMITTEE decide to show off their devil costumes at school the school principles decides to make the whole school wear uniform. Meanwhile Alicia, a member of THE PRETTY COMMITTEE has a new best friend and Claire and Massie like the same guy. To keep the school from blaming Massie about the uniforms she decides to have a competition of girls making uniforms and the winner gets their uniform worn. In the end Alicia and her new best friend, Olivia wins Turns out they cheated, Massie, Claire, Kristen nd Dylan's team wins. Claire also finds out her and Massie likes the same guy when her and Massie finally becomes friends. What will she do now? I think this was a really awesome book. It shows the real everyday drama that girls experience, and it's funny, also unique.

Delivery time
It took a long time from Amazon to deliver the item to me and I did not feel good about since my exam was getting closer to the date of delivering the book.
Good Physics Practice
This book has a pro and a con associated with it. The pro is that it is a plethra of free standing questions and will definitely prepare you for that aspect of the MCAT without a doubt. The con is actually only a semi con...there are no passages in this book which means you won't get practice in scanning for important facts. This isn't the end of the world, though, because the MCAT physical sciences section is highly conceptual, and this book drills the concepts like there's no tomorrow. For practice with passages, you can go to the AAMC site and download a few of their practice tests.

Great Physics Practice
I really found this book very, very helpful.I thought it covered every topic on the MCAT.Some of the questions were a little easier than McAT, and some seemed a little more difficult than MCAT, but they all seemed like McAT questions to me.You can't beat the online help offered with this book.THe author himself answers your science questions.Two enthusiastic thumbs up from me. ... The 7 HELPFUL Habits for Teens
This book is great! Teenagers can really relate to this kind of stuff! The book is jam packed with pictures, quotes, and best of all the best advice a teenager could get! A College-Student's Review of"7 Habits ... Teens"
* * * * * FIVE STARS! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! * * * * *Last summer I found this book on my younger brother's desk--a gift to him from our mother. As an eighteen-year-old college student, I thought the writing would be "too young" for me. NOPE! I read the book and it has significantly changed my views of myself, others, and the world. On another note, I liked the book so much that I decided to check out 'the original,' Sean's father's book (7 Habits of ... *people*): the verdict: I personally found the book for Teens a MUCH better read. Sean's writing style is concise and very visual, making it easy to understand, enjoyable, and fun. The anecdotes and stories are universally applicable--despite racial, economic, etc. backgrounds (or even age!).He doesn't waste time getting to the point, taking a single paragraph to introduce a new concept, and then supporting it with two or three stories, anecdotes, or quotations; and yes, there are even pictures too! The end product is something that is VERY enjoyable, practicable, and has helpful. If you have ANY doubts about whether or not to read this book, I would say that if you are even looking into it enough to read this review, you and someone you know can greatly benefit from the ideas in this book. Of course self-change is scary and difficult, but this book makes it fun and easy. It's helped me to not only improve my own life, but also that of my younger brother, guiding me to be a better role model for him. A very interesting, and lifechanging book
I have personally read this book, and ( as a 13 year old), it has drasticly changed my life. There are passages in this book that told me things about myself I never knew. Like this " I'f who I am, is what I have, and what I have is lost, who am I ?" I no longer feal that money or impotance should matter in my life. A poignant and insightful story
What does it take to overcome great obstacles and find the best in oneself? The author found a young man named Cedric Jennings to explore this question. The author observes Cedric's life in a uniquely honest way. We are able to experience first-hand the often painful and complicated emotions of young people who grow up in socially disadvantaged neighborhoods and broken homes. The day to day experiences of these young people often necessitate the need to focus on emotional and financial survival, rather than intellectual pursuits or personal aspirations.
A tale of a boy who made it out...
This book would typically not be on my list of interesting reading; but the book was for college so I thought I would read it.To my great suprise, the book actually made emotions run through my body when I read it.It wasn't that these experiences were personal for me; but I recognized the struggle I had seen so often and how I seemed to be a part of the "majority" who didn't know any better.This seemed to bother me the most, I kept asking myself, "Am I really that ignorant?".The answer unfortunetly was yes, I really had become just another example of something the minority had to struggle so hard against to succeed.The idea that my suburban schools were far ahead of all the inner city schools seemed almost ludicrous.The more I looked into it, the more I realized that this struggle has been going on longer than I have lived, and that even though I feel bad for the minority; I still continue to live my life casually without sticking my neck out for others.

'Anne Frank, better than ever'
'The Diary Of A Young Girl: The Definitive edition' is more or less the un-cut version of the book that was originally published in the late 1940's. it contains approx. 30% more material, and in my opinion makes Anne more relatable than ever, particularly to adolescents.

Possibly the MOST informative book I've ever read
I just finished this book, and it has really put the fast food empire in perspective for me. I never knew what actually goes on behind the counter, or how many chemicals can be in a strawberry milkshake. I would reccomend this book for everyone. One bad thing about it, though, is that some parts tend to get a bit boring. But most of the book is very informative and interesting. Overall, this book was definatley worth my money.

The best diet book I have ever read
if you ever eat fast food after reading this book, you obviously didnt read it. it covers how the fast food industry has changed america for the worst. how they manipulate kids into eating fast food. the conditions of the animals that are raised to be eaten. the diet of the animals. what goes on in the slaughter houses. how they have made the farmers go out of business. how the restarunts are run. fast food in schools and much more.

"Fast-Food Nation" for a Younger Audience
Eric Schlosser wrote his groundbreaking piece of investigative nonfiction called "Fast Food Nation," and in 2006 he returns with "Chew On This." Both books are very similar, but "Chew On This" is for a younger audience. I think, with the importance of solving the problem Schlosser writes about, we need two books about the similar subject, so people of all ages can understand its meaning.

A great adventure from James Patterson
Surprised at all the negative reviews, but then again its all just opinion, so here is mine:James Patterson isn't Ernest Hemingway!
A Page Turner
This book is one of the best teen books that I've ever read!It will keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing even after you finish it.Luckly the second book in the series is out.The story is about six 98% human/2% bird "creatures" and their lives as they rescue their little "sister" from the labratory where they were created.All the while they are being chased by wolf/humans.I won't spoil the story for you though.But I highly suggest reading this book.You won't be disappointed!!!!

An Adults Review
I am not a teen, or a tween, but I do enjoy a good well written adventure story and the plotline of this book sounded interesting. Genetically altered children with wings, in an age where parents are close to being able to assign attributes to future babies it seemed appropriate to write such a story. James Patterson, usually known for his murder mysteries tries and fails, in my opinion, to speak through an adolescent's point of view. It was an "almost" story; never quite reaching a "wow" factor, kept me interested just enough to finish it but not enough to read the next installment. The plot didn't flow; the characters were too one dimensional, with funny but ridiculous names and even more worse they were too generic to the Young Adult Genre. Pick up any book in that section and you will find that 90% of them have the A) angst ridden young girl who doesn't realize she is wonderful and B) the Boy she is close with but doesn't realize she loves him, and vice versa C) the characters spouting forth the idiom of the day and D) a plot with no flow only small surges that never reach a common stream of conscience. I would say this was less Maximum Ride and more like Miniscule Jaunt. ... Read more

"One of the five best books to leave with your Christian teenager...."

Really Cool Bible for Teens!!!
I ordered this Bible for my daughter.She and another girl in her youth group here in Sweden (we are Americans serving over seas) shared it with some of the other girls and it has actually become top of the other girls wish lists for their birthdays!It has practical stories the girls can relate to and thought provoking questions that are appropriately worded.Other bibles I have looked at sometimes discuss things in ways that I would prefer talking to my daughter about.This uses the Word only!Great Word of God!!

Excellent devotional bible
This is an excellent devotional Bible.The first reviewer who doesn't like the Bible because it condemns witchcraft is completely ignorant of New Testament Greek, and seems to dislike anything that cramps their lifestyle or beliefs.The NIV is an excellent translation based on the oldest and best manuscripts and translatedby people who actually know Greek, and don't use alternate definitions that don't reflect the true text in order to make things that are condemned by the Bible seem accaptable.If you want your kids to learn what the Bible says, and not what a Wiccan wants it to say, this is a great devotional Bible. ... Be careful with this book
My daughter was allowed to borrow this book from her school library when she was 7 because she tested high on her SRI. She was sitting on the couch reading it with tears welling up in her eyes. I read the book, and it is a beautifully-written, powerful piece, BUT be careful. If your child is not ready for this emotionally, DO NOT allow her/him to read it. The baby and mom die horribly, the father withers away and the girl is racked with guilt and blame. It's not something you give lightly to a child of any age.

A Mon avis...
Though this book is well written and has a creative style I absolutely despised the story. The reason I dislike this book has nothing to do with it being "very sad" as some other reviewers have commented. Instead I dislike the book because the story is lacking and I do not think the author does a good job of creating empathy towards the characters. Usually when a reading a "sad" book I have sympathy towards the characters. In this book there was none. Also I felt the character development was lacking. I don't reccomend this book if you are looking for a good story I do reccomend it though if you are interested in learning about free verse or seeing how the author shaped the story.

Poetry
This book is AWESOME! I believe that it is simply amazing how this authour was able to portray so eloquently the joys and hardships of Billie Jo during the Dust Bowl, especially when writing it all in poetry. This a must-read for anyone really, even those who are 10, like me. I loved it because of the above reason, and, because Billie Jo is so truthful and pure about here feelings in this book, and you don't see a lot of that nowdays. My advise is to READ IT!!!!!!! ... Taking a line from his cancelled and poorly shown movie, Whedon and the Hacks at Dark Horse deliver up this rubbish, which is just that, Rubbish.

Perfect filler between TV series and movie
Quick admission: I'm a huge fan of the Firefly TV series and "Serenity".I think both were horribly underappreciated, and can't understand why they weren't more successful.
Serenity, an under-sold epic
While it is a little inconvenient to have to jump from a television series (thanks Joss Whedon and crew and cast, untimely cancelled, bad judgment Fox) to movie (thanks Universal) to comic book (thanks Dark Horse), it is rewarding to see more of the story accessible to Firefly/Serenity fans.It is amazing how few fans actually saw the series on television or the movie but became big fans from DVD sales.This is a story that touches the heroic, underdog spark in all of us.The comic book was appreciated for connecting the series to the movie and for explaining a couple of missing elements such as what happened to the blue hands guys. ...
