5-0 out of 5 stars Willow comes into her own
I'm glad there was a series of books written abou Willow. She's been in Buffy's shadow long enough.Even though they were best of friends and Willow never begrudged Buffy the limelight, everyone deserves a little attention, even though it's for the bad things we do.It's Human Nature!I haven't finished part 3 yet and hopefully it will end on a happy note!I love happy endings! But it's just "what if" anyway.Excellent read!

5-0 out of 5 stars What if...
I really like this trilogy, because I know that there wasn't much time -t.v episode wise- to really take the episodes leading up to the finale where this book goes. I especially enjoyed the killing off of two annoying characters that aren't on the show, (1 of who was a character) and making this person a personal dummy-pet to Willow. Go Willow!
1-0 out of 5 stars Worst Buffy serious ever
This isBAD rewrite of the Season 6 finale when Willow went bad.

5-0 out of 5 stars Remember it !
A good and supernatural book!It makes me wonder what dead is like...Nigel..

5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING
Like all Christopher Pike books, this is another amazing one added to it.The moment when Jimmy realized that his sister came back to life was amazing, and when Lenny realized who he was before he nearly killed Shari. This book didn't have so much a deep meaning or conclusion, but it's the perfect book LEADING to book three.

2-0 out of 5 stars Okay then!
WARNING: This reveiw tells parts of the end, since it was written for school!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!
This book made me love L.J. Smith. It's so wonderful. It has adventure, love, and excitment! A perfect book for teens and young adults. The whole set is nice because you read straight through. You pick up exactly where you left off.You can't put it down, you want to read and read until you get to the end!You just have to read it for yourself.

5-0 out of 5 stars " Good ovr. Evil"
This story attracted me to it at the age of 9 yrs. old, especially since of my love of vampire stories and such which comes from feminine figures drawn towards a dark power and other types of evil. I liked it because the girl "Jenny Thornton" was able to overcome "Julian's" grasp on her. She was able to overcome the evil thrown against her even though at times he seemed unbearable. Even though Julian loved her and tried almost everything to have her...still Jenny was able to succeed by the power of good. This story definitely stated the power of good over evil. In a way, she stood as an example for me: a symbol for all those, especially feminine, to stand up for ourselves in times of unspeakable evil and the "bad" in our lives. I hoped this review proved useful.
5-0 out of 5 stars Isn't it weird?
I unfortunately haven't had the privilege to read the 2nd book in this series, though I do have #1 and #3 of the series.Very spellbinding, addictive as someone else have stated before. What attracted me to this series is simply the title - FORBIDDEN game. It's human nature to do what we're told not to - out of curiosity, or an insane bravery to see for ourselves? Anyway, my books are losing pages, I've had them for years now, figured it be a good thing to get a book with the whole series included in one.

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVED THIS SERIES!
Vampire Diaries was a great series!! I didn't like how the last book in the series was going but it ended up great! The book starts with: girl meets hot vampire Stephen and his also very hot but evil brother Damon. She is in love with the kind hearted Stephen, but evil Damon wants her all to himself. She trys to stay away from Damon but no matter what she does he keeps finding ways to get to her to take her blood, slowly turning her into a vampire. She cannot tell Stephen what is going on because he is still weak from a horrific battle with Damon, and if she would tell him he would become so angry he would try to kill Damon and end up dying because he isn't strong enough to battle him again so soon. The whole series has a great plot, but I definitly recommend buying all the books before you start reading the series or you will be left hanging untill the next book. Trust me I know! I started reading the Awakening #1 in the Vampire Diaries series, and I had to end up waiting for two months to find the second book and another month to find the third and fourth book. I have read the series about 6 times since last year. L.J. Smith is a great writer, if you like the vampire diaries you should read the Secret Circle series and her Night World series.

5-0 out of 5 stars Addictive from start to finish
The mystery continues in book 2.
5-0 out of 5 stars Coming back for more!
Before Buffy and Angel lite up the tv screens spinning off book series there was L.J. Smith's series 'Vampire Diaries". This series was the first vampire books I ever read back when I was about 12.Ten years later, and heavy dog eared copies of the "Vampire Diaries" the story and plot is still fresh as ever, keeping me coming back again and again. If you love the paranormal, a bit of romance, adventure, two good looking vampires, and of course the age old struggle school politics then you'll love this book. Its a story that you wont soon forget. 4-0 out of 5 stars The Best Everworld Book?
I agree with some thoughts already posted. The books have always overdone each other, which makes the series so good. But it also gets a bit tedious, as mentioned in another post. But overall, the series is the best I've ever read...5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING
I have read the entire series and it is just the best thing ever! I mean it. I just finished the last book and it is just sooooo good of an ending I wish I could just read it over and over. If you enjoy mythology stuff and fantasy you will love these books!

5-0 out of 5 stars Possibly the best...
Now this was a book I didn't want to put down!If you've read all or even some of the previous ones, this book is must. Finally, some of the mysteries of Everworld begin to unravel, as Senna finally explains her place in everthing...and everyone else's.As the five kids make their way into Egypt, hoping to find Senna's mother, instead they're captured by a large group of Amazons who have conquered the land...I won't say anything else to avoid spoiling the story, buy truly, this one is the best so far.Senna isn't a character I expected to hear from, but somehow, getting inside her twisted head for the first time, it was hard not to identify with her, and sympathize with her at least a bit.Prior to this book, I despised Senna, but now she just might be my favorite. Also, the Amazons as well were simply above cool!Nothing like some good strong females to make a story more exciting.Anyway, this book was great, and I recommend it to anyone who's been following the series. These books don't stand well on their own, and you'd be hopelessly lost otherwise. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars It ROCKS
This book is the BEST book in the world. I couldn't wait to read it everyday. you really have to finish it to get what it is really about. You will love this book and be attatched to it forever!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's a Thriller
Beach House is a horror book that says some things about society and about people in general. First it says that now our society is full of killers and our world, you might say, is not perfect and each days something can happen. That's the same with Beach House, they were just trying to have fun when all of a sudden one of their friends gets killed. In addition, our world does not have peace and it is very common to be killed by a serial killer. Its also says something about people in general, for example, I beleive that nobody is brave enough to actually fight back when someone is trying to kill them.(at least i wouldnt, even if I was older)
5-0 out of 5 stars wow! thats scary.
This book will make you jump out of your pants. It is a scary book! My favorite part was when they found a closet that takesyou from this "summer" to the summer of "1956". It is a suspecful book once you start reading it you will never stop reading it untill you finish it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wrong Number 2
The wrong number 2 is a suspenseful and exciting book. If you like to watch horror movies then you should read this book.Jade and her best friend Deena has been getting threaten calls since Mr. Farberson has wanted to kill them.Last year they were trapped in his house and he had tried to kill them. Now it is there senior year in high school. They are hoping that they don't have to deal with him. Then suddenly they heard he was back. Well then it was just a rumor. Mr. Farberson is in jail. Well that is what they think! Then one night Jade was watching the news and talking on the phone with Deena. She suddenly freak out and told Deena that Farberson was out of jail now. So then Jade went to Deena house and they told Jades (step brother) that is in the hospital form getting in trouble that Farberson is out of jail. They have been ready to go get the money that his wife has told them about. So then her brother is trying to hurry up and get the money before he gets home. So will he get it? To find out then you should read this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book very scary
Wrong Number and Wrong Number Two are both excellent books that are very scary and suspensful. Deena and Jade are the best of friends who set out to prove Chuck's innocense in a murder that they hear on the other end of the telephone. It's very creepy!!! They are actually in the killer's house multiple times. They are inside his house alone, when they suddenly hear the door open and the killer come in with no chance of escape. He catches them inside his house (the house with the bloodstained carpet) and he's already killed once, what would stop him? They meet with him face to face several times, which makes it so scary and suspensful! Great book, I highly recommend it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Wrong Number
R.L. Stine's book The Wrong Number is a suspenseful, action-packed murder story.Deena and Jade make some harmless prank calls to kids at school. It all falls apart when Deena's brother Chuck catches them and wants in on the action.Only his calls are not so harmless. He makes a call to a Fear Street resident who is about to be murdered. Now the murderer knows who they are and where they live.Something that started as a prank ends in a murder.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Mystery, fantasy ,ghosts, oh my!
"Story Time" was a fun book with an impossible but not fantastical plot. The Whittaker Magnet School is in the basement of the Whittaker Library and at the Whittaker Library the books are haunted... But this is not a horror story; it's actually fairly subdued and almost plausible.Much of the book is not even about the ghost, it's about the awful Whittaker-Austins who run the school and the testing the students endure every day.But there is a mystery, unexplained deaths, possessions, people going crazy, and Pogo, the librarian who speaks only in nursery rhymes and who may hold all the answers to the mystery.

4-0 out of 5 stars Story Time
Story Time, by Edward Bloor, is a great satire for young adults. It's funny and dark, poking fun at how highly we value test scores and taking strict schools to the extreme.
5-0 out of 5 stars READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!! pleeeeeeeeeeeease
this book is for adventurous people. if you cant stand the way your teachers fret about the standerdised test and think they take it to the extreme then this is the book for you. i loved and i bet you will too. so.........

5-0 out of 5 stars 22 and still lovin' it!
I first read this book about 12 years ago. I have had the same copy since and have read it more times then i can count. R.L. Stine is a great writer and while books like this and the goosebumps series are aimed towards children, myself as well as many adults I know still love to read them again and again. This is a definite must have, a quick read you will enjoy for many years to come!

4-0 out of 5 stars Halloween Night
If you want a quick, fun, and entertaining thriller/mystery book, get this one. It's by R.L. Stine, and most of his books, if not all, are great and fun to read. This one is no exception.
4-0 out of 5 stars Kristen's review
I like this book because it's about four girls. Two of them have something against one of the other girls. It is a mystery to it and you want to keep reading. I like it when you want to just keep on reading. That's because I never get bored of the book.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Cheater
I thought theis book was very cool.I would reffer this book to many kids. It is filled with lots of excitment, and mystery. The begining was ok. but when Adam came in eveything got exciting. The ending was not how i expected it to be. the ending could have been alittle more exciting. But over all the was great!
5-0 out of 5 stars My first Stine book....
This was my first Stine book I read. I bought it against my mother's wishes. I was with my Dad when I bought it. She thought that it would scare me. I told her that I bought it & LOVED it. So, she gave me permission to read the Stine books. I bought tons of them. Stine books are the best. I am 23 now and have loved his books for over 10 years. About, 2 years ago I bought a big book lot of his books from the internet for under $90 dollars. I had gotton some duplicates. So, I am going to try and get my 11 year old brother into reading these books. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad
This book is full of suspense and thrills. But I don't suggest getting the other three unless you become completely obsessed with this one. The story line just repeats itself. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a good, suspensful, thriller. And I would recommend the other three to anyone that like repetitve storylines.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Babysitter! Best book ever
Babysitter by: R.L. Stine. It's about this girl named Jenny that finally gets a babysitting job that she likes except the fact that she is in this big scary house and she keeps on getting these phone calls saying company is coming! What made me read this book is it looked like a good book and I like scary books. I would recommend this book to any teenager that likes scary books. Or kids that are mature and also like scary stories. What was good about the book were the characters because I can relate to Jenny in a lot of ways because I am scared of being in a big scary house by myself. One of the quotes was, "I hate being in this big scary house by myself. I wish somebody was here with me." Jenny said. I also liked how they described the setting because it made the book sound scarier. Another quote was, "The house was dark and scary-looking and one of the shingles on the window was banging up against the house." There wasn't really anything that I didn't like about this book.
4-0 out of 5 stars WOW! I say Wow!

This book waz pretty awesome with surprizing yet sad ending:( that u have to read to find out.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST!!!!
This is without any doubt the BEST book in the series, if you had to choose to buy only one, buy this one. Two thumbs up!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Mildly Amused.. at the comment ( not the book the books are incrediable.)
ok to start i must laugh in the face of those who insist on commenting on how bad, "curruptive" , and "steering off the right path" these books are. ITS CALLED ENJOYMENT PEOPLE! fiction!!!!! just because a 14 year old like myself picks up one of these books and enjoys it does NOT mean he/she will turn to wicca ways. i am a cristian! my mom has no problem buying these books for me and even she understands why i read them. hello? because reading is good for you. and opening up your mind to things like wicca can help you understand people are differnt and have different views and even help ground you to your own. so if anyone out there insist on bluntly stating how awful these books are please realize.. you can have you own opinions and views.. but no one hear really wants to hear them.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not the best Buffy book
I did not enjoy reading this Buffy book at all. I found it to be very boring--way too much dialogue and way to little action. The author had the Scoobys arguing and explaining everything over and over again, as if the characters were strangers and had no chemistry.I didn't feel as though the author captured the characters or their relationships well at all. He had Buffy constantly feeling negative thoughts and irritation toward Willow, when their friendship (especially in the early years) was quite respectful and true blue. Giles and Buffy seemed to be depicted as not close at all and even early in their relationship, there was still love and understanding there, which I was not feeling from this book. And don't get me started on Xander, who was depicted as no-nonsense, hard-working and independent. Where was our happy-go-lucky, bumbling, jokester? (Remember, this book is supposed to be one year after Buffy came to town, so season 2, right?) I just wasn't buying it. Maybe part of the reason was that the time frame was never really clear until late in the book, or did I miss something? On that note, I must have missed something because Buffy and Angel hardly seemed to know each other, but Xander and Cordelia were already sneaking around, which didn't happen until Buffy and Angel were already going pretty hot and heavy (but before the whole Angelus stuff, so not that hot and heavy, but in love, ice skating rink, kissing Angel's demon face, ring a bell?).
4-0 out of 5 stars Fun
This book was good if a little dry at times. For the most part it keeps you entertained. I like that Cordelia had a big role in the storyline. Usually in the Buffy books she is persona non grata. I did think there should be more focus on Buffy though. It did annoy me that the book didn't narrow down the time period it was set in until close to the end (the writer finally revealed it was set about a year after Buffy came to town). I wanted more about the back story of Buffy. But for a short read this was pretty good. I would recommend it to anyone with a few free hours on their hands.

4-0 out of 5 stars "I'm not stupid," Cordelia interrupted.
If I hadn't just read 'Spark and Burn,' I would say that 'Afterimage' boded well for the future of Buffy as a book series.Pierce Askegren wedges this story into the time period just as Xander and Cordelia are about to become an item. It's Buffy's junior year during that brief but magical time when things seemed to be going well.Well, as well as slayage ever gets.As stranger (Balsamo) comes to town with a plan to resurrect the Sunnydale drive-in in true 50's style and suddenly waves of strange events haunt the world's most haunted town.

3-0 out of 5 stars Warning!Not a comic book!
I gotta start reading the fine print on these titles;I got totally fooled.I thought it was a comic book, just like the titles right above and below it.It's prose fiction. As in short stories.Yes there are some illustrations by Mike Mignola, but I thought I was getting a collection of Hellboy comics!...

4-0 out of 5 stars A Good Read
The book was better than I had expected. Having read some of the earlier comics where hellboy is first descovered this is a huge leap of discovery. The first of the short stories leads you to read more and more into how hellboy reacts and thinks. His charecter is dimensional having feelings of Good over Evil and cares for his friends more than he would any thing else in the world. It is a good book and would be well worth the buying.

5-0 out of 5 stars a pretty piece of Hellboy
Well this book is full of another looks on Hellboy himself and his world. Each story is pleasant and leads to a new contact with the stone handed red tall guy. From childhood to some pretty piece of horror, you'll have all the keys to unlock what was missing to the original comics: a character study... ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Dark Horse hit a Homerun picking Powell up.
This was a wonderful read.I do not normally laugh out loud when reading comics, but this one keeps me rolling.Despite the fact that the characters are much the antihero, you just can't help rooting for them.
5-0 out of 5 stars Superior Comic Book Making
There are comics that have more depth and some that have more subtlety than The Goon, but few that exhibit such sheer joy of the comics medium and "low-brow" art. It's obvious that Eric Powell knows not only the value of good B-Movies and pulp tales, but of all other pop-culture discards as well. His stories, freeway collisions among gansters, monsters, Frank Capra and drive-in "sci-fi", are pure, simple, direct, and often outright funny. They invoke everything from Ed Wood to Norman Rockwell. Although Powell adopts a beautiful cartoony style in drawing Goon (with suggestions of Jack Kirby, Will Eisner and other comics greats), what makes it work is the talent of an accomplished artist capable of far more complex renderings. The Goon is a wonder and well worth your attention.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great stuff
This is my first foray into The Goon.I loved it.I usually read superhero books but lately I've weanted to get into something different.First it was Hellboy and now it's The Goon. This is Hilarious but it's not just jokes there are real stories here too. These other reviewers mention these great horror writers and what-not, I have not read their stuff (but I probably should), but this is a great read for anybody.

SONS OF ENTROPY
5-0 out of 5 stars A great Buffy the Vampire Slayer trilogy
You know how many times you get suckered into buying a bunch of paperbacks because it is some giant continued story?Well, trust me, this one is well worth the investment in time and cash.Golden and Holder are far and away the best writers working on Buffy books and in this entire series they get free reign with the characters and their imagination. There is also a respect for Buffy and her friends you do not always get in such books.Let me put it another way: you know how good this series is?I went out and got a hardback edition because this is a keeper (even if you do not have a gate).

5-0 out of 5 stars The concluding book in an epic Buffy trilogy
The Gatekeeper Trilogy is far and away the best of the Buffy books.Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder are far and away the best writers working on the books.Since they are also the main authors of the Watcher Guides they certainly have the requisite knowledge of the characters and the Buffy mythos. In retrospect I ended up feeling about these three books pretty much the way I did about the original Star Wars trilogy where the second one is the best and the finale has a bit of trouble living up to your expectations because what has gone before has been so great. However, put them together and they simply set the bar higher for everyone who comes in their wake.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sweeping the Floor
I love the books in the Wicca series (or Sweep in the US). I've read them all, and I'm trying to read them all again. I remember that Awakening was always one of my favourites, and it was one that really got me in to the series. I love the eventual happy ending in this book and in the entire series.
5-0 out of 5 stars Recommended to Parents who can?t get their daughters to read
I purchased the Sweep series for my 13 year old daughter in the hopes that maybe she would read."She hated to read."Well I was amazed, and could not get her to go to sleep, as she would spend the whole night, with a night-light on reading these books. She enjoyed them so much, and could not stop talking first about Cal and then Hunter, that I had to see what all the fuss was about.5-0 out of 5 stars Love these books!!!!
I've only recently begun reading these books, now when I think about it, I should have read them earlier!Read more

This month, in my english class i read a book called the doom stone. I give this booke a 3 out of 5. it was mediocer at best. The book, i thought, had poorly developed characters, i disliked the plot line, and the book wasn't really like the reviews said. I also thought the story dragged on about a lot of things. Don't get me wrong, I like Paul Zindel, but this wasn't my favorite book from him. That is why I give this book a 3 out of 5.

Corky and her friends think that the evil is back. All kinds of horrible stuff is happening. Like first one of the girls on the cheerleading squad falls and breaks her neck. So then there is an opening for another cheerleader. So they have try-outs and they have narrowed it down to three girls but, while they are discusing it a screw driver falls from the bleachers andhits one of the girls that made the squad so, then they have to pick the second best person and that is Lauren. So the only one that didnt make it is Ivy but, she stays at all the practices because she said that if something happened she could be on the squad. And then Namia almost gets burned to death so then Ivy is on the squad. Then Corky and her friends think that the evil is in Ivy because Ivy wanted onthe squad really bad and all thoes girls started getting hurt so she could be on the squad. So Corky and her friends have a big ice skating party and theinvite everyone so that Ivy will come and they can try and get the evil out of her. So they get a spell from this spel book that they bought and started cha
