5-0 out of 5 stars Disney Fans Must Have
This is a must have for the Disney fan. This book gives in depth detail into the man who created the "happiest place on earth", from the people who knew hime best. His family, friends, and employees.I have read many books on Disney, and this ranks in the top 2(along with Imaganineering). It tells the stories of his triumphs as well as his tragedies.I highly recommend this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars NIce story about a true genius
This book is not a complete and detailed biography, but is a nice tribute to Walt Disney. It has a lot of photos, and the most interesting parts of the book are "personal side" sections.

5-0 out of 5 stars Proof That Walt Disney Was The Original Dream Worker!
Walt Disney is well on his way to becoming the most written about creative talent in American film.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Bother
A boring, poorly edited, repetitive book filled with unlikely dialogue and third hand gossip. There is no new insight into Brando's character to be found here.If you are a Brandophile and must read this book, my advice is to get it from the library.

1-0 out of 5 stars leaves a lot to be desired
This book was a disappointment despite very low expectations. Darwin Porter is not a writer, so this is not really a book; it's a deluge of catty gossip, incidents presented in no particular order and with little consideration for their relative value or who they pretend to describe. As another reveiwer said, one gets a far more meaningful sense of who Brando was by watching his flims, even the bad ones, because he was a fabulous and fascinating actor and always gave himself away in his performances. One doesn't need to read page after page of repititious detail about his supposed homosexual and straight affairs presented as actual accounts, with foolish dialogs that all sound the same. For example: would Brando ALWAYS refer to his prick as "my noble tool"?
4-0 out of 5 stars OMIGOD!Unzipped and Pants Down
If all of this novel is to be believed I am wondering where Mr. "I Can't Keep My Pants Up" Brando had time to make any movies at all.Marlon went to bed with half of the world according to this tale of unbridled sex with men and women. The loves of his life is said to be his mother, Dodie, and Wally Cox.There is a hint of incest with his mother in the book.He was bisexual to say the least and made no bones about it - early in life affairs with James Dean, Monty Clift, Burt Lancaster, Rock Hudson and on and on.Too many men and women to name.It is a side of Brando that has not been written about. If you want to know every little detail of his sex life and who sampled his "noble tool" as he called his package, then read the book. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars The real thing, straight from the show, by its own admission
I made my way to the WB as a result of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," so while I knew that "Dawson's Creek" was their teen soap opera but when a SNL skit made reference to Pacey I thought that was a different name for a girl. But when my students in Popular Culture begged to be able to write about this show for their television papers I started watching it (the gang was graduating from Capeside High in that episode).Last month when the show went into syndication and was available on DVD I was able to go back and watch the show all the way from the beginning and on through the grand finale (For the record, no, I was not surprised by who died or who Joey picked, not that I necessarily approved of either decision). In that context it is interesting to check out "Dawson's Creek: The Official Scrapbook" and relive the beginning once more.4-0 out of 5 stars Good for the 'major' fans!
This is good for fans of dawsons creek. Its full of pictures, but most are from the first season. Its not got a story line or anything its, just something to look threw that you would do very quickly and probably never look at again. If you just love the show, your gonna want to get this, but i would recoment getting one of the Dawsons Creek novels instead because they are far more entertaining!

4-0 out of 5 stars The low down on the lifes of the star's at Dawson's Creek!
This book is a must have of any Dawson's Creek fan! The book doesn't have a story line like any other Dawson's Creek book but describe the lifes of the 4 main characters in the Creek and in real life. By reading this bookyou find out about the star's past , present and future television and filmjobs .The book gives you information about which star bring's his dog towork every day , what starsign they are and what there nick-names were !You also find out about the characters in the creek which is a great helpto those people who haven't seen Dawson's Creek and don't know the backgrounds of all the characters. If this hasn't grasped you there is a pieceby the producer Kevin Wialliamson with his thoughts and comments. The bookalso has a copy of some of the original T.V script with Kevin Williamsoncomments . My favourite part of the book is a page full of some of the mostfamous quotes ever in Dawson's Creek which reminds you of past events inthe Creek. Over all I find this book a inspiring guide to the minds of 4 ofthe most confused teenagers which makes it a perfect guide to Dawson'sCreek! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars slow ride
Spike Lee written by Jim Haskins is about Spike Lee's life. Spike Lee is a movie director, and has directed over twenty films, like Malcolm X, and Summer Of Sam. It ranges from his family history before he was born to the present. But it goes in great detail about the movie industry and how it's a dog eat dog world out there. This book was missing a lot of the fun and positive things about being in the movie industry. It really focused on several of his own failures and obstacles. But it did not really go into details about why some of his movies were more successful than others.4-0 out of 5 stars The book review of Spike Lee's By Any Means Necessary
This book was the personal story of the man who rose from thief and hoodlum to becoming the most dynamic leader of the Black Revolution. The themes mentioned in the book are the endless problems of theAfro-Americans.A man that fought for what he believed in, and sacrificedhis life for the freedom of his people. The book showed how Malcolm Xchanged his life by using different and peaceful changes later on, in hisyoung life. ... Walt Disney Creator of Mickey Mouse by Michael D. Cole is about the life of Disney.Walt Disney was a success in animation and as an entertainer. To make his visions a reality, Disney worked hard and was always chasing his dream.Walt was born in Chicago, Illinois.Disney's older siblings were Raymond and Roy. Walt also had a younger sister, Ruth.Walt was too little to remember life in Chicago, so his childhood memories were in Marceline on a farm.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about Walt Disney. It has a lot of good dates and interesting facts and pictures. The only thing I don't like about this book is that the picture captions don't usually say who is who.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very indepth.
This book was very informative. It was like the author followed Love around her whole life.It had many quotes from Love on many different topics. The pictures were great (though they would have been better in color). This book tells just how much she had to go through to get to thelevel she's at today, the top.I would have given it one more star if itwere an official biography.

3-0 out of 5 stars Grovelling
I never understood the fascination with this woman, often hailed as being a flyer and adventurer and crackshot hunter. Neither she nor her husband Martin ever flew their aircraft, Osa was often protected by an off-camera sharpshooter, and as for adventure, maybe, but she became an alcoholic due in part to depression over being away from home so often. She smiles on-camera as Martin belittles her. She seemed to be a tool for Martin, a cute face who helped him sell half-bogus and often times staged films. One book they wrote deals with cannibals. Howeverm tha cannibal theory has been all but debunked, and they knowlingly filmed head-curing ceremonies, passing this off as cannibalism. They starved animals out of their hiding areas for the sake of a photo. 5-0 out of 5 stars The New Woman of the Twentieth Century
Osa Johnson WAS the new woman of the twentieth century. She did not stay home and tend to her husband and raise kids. She tended to her husband while enjoying the adventure he pursued. The twentieth century was a time of change for women in America. This book is a wonderful way of introducing young people to the changes made by this woman for other women of her time.In fact, I think adults would also enjoy reading this as much as I did.It sparked an interest that continues to grow. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Thin book, thin information
There is some interesting information, yes, but there are also many inaccuracies, and unfortunately, it was more applicable a few years back.I commend it only because it was the first Roswell book out there, but it doesn't include all the stars. If you're interested in details, look at Crash Into Me: The World of Roswell.Frankly, I found it to be more informative.

4-0 out of 5 stars If You're A Fan...
I was very surprised at how thin this book was when it arrived, but anyway. It has info on the stars and is quite good if you've only just started watching the series (or if you're a die hard fan). Most of the info contained in this book in available on the web.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must for any TRUE Roswell fan!
This book was the first book (to my knowledge) to be written about the Roswell cast. It gives great bios of Jason, Shiri, Brendan, Colin, Maj, Kat, and Nick!Read more
