4-0 out of 5 stars A Collection of Stories....
..some were good. Some were bad. I especially loved Party Planner by Meg Cabot, Traveling Light by Carole Matthews, and Here Come Harry, by Jessica Adams. But my most favorite one was Don't You Know Who I Am?, by Adele Lang. It was as if Edina from the hit Brititsh show, Absolutely Fabulous, was telling that story. It was a terrific read!!
5-0 out of 5 stars Great and entertaining
This book is good from beginning to end. They are short stories though so each story only has a little bit of content.I really wished that the stories were longer because right as I got into them, they ended. You definitely have to make your own conclusions and assumptions at the end of each story. That part is unclear. It makes you wonder if you're assumptions are on the right track....hmmm.

4-0 out of 5 stars Chick lit short story fun!
I really enjoyed some of the stories in this book. The first story, by Meg Cabot, had me laughing out loud at the antics of a nervous party planner.Jennifer Weiner's story (of Good in Bed's Cannie) from the male perspective, was really good.

5-0 out of 5 stars NO i am not a kid, i just haven't purchased anything yet- this book was amazing!!
Some of the other reviews said this book had no plot...blahblahblah stuff like that, But i disagree this book had a plot, though some parts were very predictable, other's were also suprising. Lizzie, the main character was not as babble mouthed as you would expect, but still spilt some secrets like you wouldn't believe. This is definitely quality work that i had no problem with except one thing; This book looks like a book for teenagers, and easily could be mistaken as one of meg's books for girls, which, with that last scene and all(sexual content)is obviously not meant to be. So teenagers reading this review, beware this is not written for younger sociaty. Of meg's books, this one falls in the middle of being the best and worst, because some of her other books are better and some are not as good. If you are looking for a cute romance, this is the one for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Loved this book!
I absolutely loved this book as I love all Meg Cabot books. This one was hilarious and very informative. I loved the thesis and quotes at the beginning of each chapter.
4-0 out of 5 stars 4 Stars Because it was Fun
I think it should be noted that this is an ADULT book.I think the cover and the overall tone of the book may lead some younger people who enjoy her teen reads to be drawn to this, but this is definitely NOT a ya book.

1-0 out of 5 stars Princess in Whining
A disgrace to the previous "Princess" books, this is possibly the worst of them all. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the previous novels in this series, eager for the next. I was drinking these books up as though I'd just ran miles. But this book I almost literally snored through. Mia was turned from a funny, clumsy princess into a whining brat. All she worried about in this book was whether her dream boy was truly "in love" with her or not. Hey, she was his girlfriend -- what more can you ask for? In Mia Thermopolis' eyes, plenty. She just can't get enough. I thought she got over complaining about her princess lessons -- my mistake. She's also an ungrateful little snob -- her boyfriend, Michael, is so sweet and always doing such nice things for her, like coming into Algebra to say hi to her every morning even though he rode with her to school, and dedicating songs to her. And I've noticed that not once does she repay him. Mia is just a bad character to mess with! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Party Princess
Oh, how I love this series. So funny. And this time Mia has a whole new problem. Michael is throwing a college party while his parents are away (the parents know about it though) and Mia is worried what Michael will think when he realizes she's not a Party Girl. So she shows up at the party trying to be like someone else, and makes a fool of herself.
5-0 out of 5 stars Funny, smart, and still Mia
I'm well out of my tweens and teens, but The Princess Diaries series is of one of my guilty pleasures (along with John Travolta musicals and Celine Dion).A friend of mine, who's 28 and recently married, lets me borrow her Princess Diaries books when she's finished reading them. But these books aren't fluffy, adolescent, "I wish I was a princess" books. These books are chocked full of social commentary, pop culture references, and humor.I had more than one belly laugh while reading Mia's minute-by-minute replay of her daily grind, painstakingly recorded in her "Princess" diaries.
5-0 out of 5 stars Yet another great Meg Cabot book!
The 7th book in the Princess Diaries series was just as funny and great as all the rest of Meg Cabot's books. I won't give you the play by play of the book, but basically, Mia is once again faced with many different problems. Michael thinks Mia is not much of a party girl, which she isn't, but Mia tries to prove to him she is. Of course, Grandmere is once again all up in Mia's business, this time trying to help her raise money for the senior class graduation after Mia throws the school budget on recycling bins. Also in this book, you finally find out about The-Guy-Who-Hates-It-When-They-Put-Corn-In-The-Chili, who has been barely mentioned in all the other books.

Happy Birthday Mia!
5-0 out of 5 stars Can't wait for the next one!
I love the Princess Diaries books!Meg Cabot is such a great author, she keeps you interested. In this adventure Mia is turning 16 and dreading her friends and family throwing her a birthday party after last years fiasco (her best friend Lily came to the party with a guy she had just met and played 7 minutes in heaven with him in the closet - WITH her boyfriend there at the party!!!!)
5-0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too
Mia, Princess of Genovia, is about to turn sixteen. The last thing she wants is a sweet sixteen birthday party, but it seems like that's the only thing her friends can talk about. While Mia is worried about how to get the administration at Albert Einstein High School to go less on the structured athletics and more on the personal exercise and health regimen, her best friend Lilly is still steaming over being passed up for her own show on MTV.

5-0 out of 5 stars I loved it!
I loved this book! It was funny and romantic. It was classic chick-lit about two people who hate each other and end up falling in love but it has a new twist to it. You know what's going to happen but it kept me very entertained along the way. It is a light read that flows easily. All in all a great book. Highly recommended! Next I'm going to read the Kitchen Witch by Annette Blair.

5-0 out of 5 stars Refreshingly Different
Where most romance novels go for style over substance this book has both.Weaving two hilariously romatic tales together through journal entries, blackberry messages, emails, receipts and any other kind of messaging service you can think of.The author breathes new life into her characters and just when you think you have figured out where the story is headed another curve ball gets thrown into the mix.The handwritten journal entries are not to be missed. You will read this book again and again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Does Meg Cabot have to write a perfect story every time?
I sure hope so.
4-0 out of 5 stars Teen Idol
I really likes this book. The overall theme of it was great and very interesting. The book was about a regular teen age girl named Jenny.Jenny is really good at solving other peoples problems, she writes for the school newspaper and has a separate section called "Ask Annie" where she gives people advice.Sometimes solving other peoples problems doesn't solve her own, such as having a boyfriend, but she does have a crush. Things get really crazy when she is asked to show around a new student, who is really a nineteen year old teen pop sensation. For his new film, he had to experience a real everyday teenage life, and Jenny had to help him.As he stays at Jenny's High School, he sees many thing wrong. He gives Jenny advice on how to fix it and how she could be the person because she is liked by everyone.I liked the plot because it seemed so real, with all the stress that she was going through and the problems that her school was facing. When you can relate to a story, it makes it more real and interesting to read.I would recommend this book to a teenage crowd, such as people from the ages 12 and older.

2-0 out of 5 stars Plot original, but lacking in other areas
I didn't really enjoy this book as much as the other Meg Cabot books I've read. There were some parts in the book where I was like, "is THAT how you spell that," or "do what??" or "um, are you sure?" I'm not a professional writer, and I don't normally notice these kinds of things.Take "bhang" for example.I'm sure she's talking about a bong that you smoke from. It's spelled b-o-n-g, not bhang.Bhang is something you can drink, not the instrument used for smoking. For the record, I don't smoke, but every college student knows what a bong is.
4-0 out of 5 stars Cute characters!
This was my second Meg Cabot book (the first being The Princess Diaries, of course), and I have to say she's really got a way of making her characters lovable even with their flaws. Poor Heather is kind of a psycho, but we understand why and we love her. I loved the setting of the dorm-- oops, I mean residence hall-- since I worked in one in college. I have to admit, I was a little put off my the suggestion running throughout the book that size 12 really IS fat (mostly because, hey, I'M a size 12), but then I read the bio on the back that Meg Cabot, skinny thing that she is, was once a size 16. And, for some reason, that made me feel better about the whole thing.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest books I've ever read.
Right now I'm wondering why this book only has four stars. I personally found it one of Ms. Cabot's best works. It has everything that a good book needs: A little mystery, a main character who is likable and who has some faults, and romance.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it.
Meg Cabot has written some pretty awesome books. Look at 'The Princess Diaries' for instance. But this series has got to be the best series she's ever written. Susannah is one of her best female heroines yet - strong, headstrong, brave - and at the same time a little loony and stupid. I love Jesse. I think we all want an encounter with a ghost like him, no?
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Book Ever!
This is absolutely my favorite book. I have never been a big reader, but I picked up this book one day. It usually takes me at least a month to finish a book this long, but I finished The Mediator in two days! I couldn't put it down! Meg Cabot, in my opinion, is one of the best teen writers out there. The reader feels as if they are involved in the story, and as if they know the charachters.I strogly reccoment this book to anyone between the ages of 12-20.

5-0 out of 5 stars Safe House
Jessica Mastriani is a girl that attends Ernest Pyle High School. She has a psychic ability to find missing people by connecting with their belongings, or strangely by feeling exactly what they are feeling as they are being kidnapped. She can't stand it when the FBI tries to run tests on her to use her as help of their investigations. So one day she decides to make up a ludicrous story, stating that due to electric shock, she no longer has psychic powers. Until one day. She shows up at school as it seemed to appear as a normal day, until she enters homeroom. The one girl that sat in front of her in homeroom ever since middle school hadn't appeared in sight. Jess didn't know. She was out of town for the summer; But Amber Mackey (the girl that sat in front of her) had been murdered! First it stated out as a kidnapping, which later led to an unknown murder. Amber was the type of girl that everyone idolized. She was a cheerleader, smart popular and very pretty. Rumors began to spread quicker than the west Nile virus. Many people began to suspect that Mark Leskowski, Amber's boyfriend, was the murderer. But in Jessica's eyes, he was an innocent soul, for goodness sake, the jock of the school cried when Amber died. Then as the Amber Mackey case was yet to be solved, Heather Montrose, a student who also attended Pyle High, was kidnapped as well. But when Heather was kidnapped, Mark Leskowski was with Jessica, he couldn't possibly be the killer. Who could have kidnapped Heather? Why was Jessica messing around with a dead girl's boyfriend? So many questions that are yet to be answered. In order for Jessica to use her psychic ability to find Heather, she must have something Heather once kept with her. She must also make sure that the FBI does not suspect that she still has psychic ability.
5-0 out of 5 stars Karen Sue we hate you
Jessica Mastriani returns from a not so great vacation only to find out most all of her classmates are angry with her. Why? Simply because lightning girl wasn't there when they needed her. Jess's fellow classmate Amber was kidnapped and then murdered. Although Jess left with every one believing that she couldn't do the psychic thing any more, Karen Sue Hanky just happened to let it slip that it worked this summer with Shane. Horrible Karen Sue throughly deserved the punch to the nose that Jess delivers to her later. When another friend is kidnapped they come for her help again, and even though Jess didn't like the girl what can she do but help and get mixed up in the mess?

3-0 out of 5 stars okay
This book was interesting to me and usually I don't read books like this but it is appealing. I like the characters and the style of writing that meg cabot uses. But I just didn't like the way the ending turned out but I still want to read the rest of the series.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good Third book (Spoiler Warning)
The third book in the Mediator Series, "Reunion", wasn't anything I expected it to be. In the third book I expected Jesse and Suze to get together, which didn't happen.I also suspected it to be a little slow, which it wasn't at all.It was very quick, and you had to make sure stuck up with the last suspesion that maybe the RLS Angels are right... maybe their killer really DID kill them on purpose... maybe they do have the right to be mad... maybe, just maybe....

Editorial Review

It would seem that 14-year-old Mia Thermopolis ("five foot nine inchestall, with no visible breasts, feet the size of snowshoes") has the kind of lifeevery Manhattan teenager could only dream of: She is, in her spare time, theprincess of the European country of Genovia. Alas, the Royal Privilege is morelike a Predicament. Not only does she have to endure daily princess lessons fromher critical Grandmère ("It isn't as if I'm going to show up at thecastle and start hurling olives at the ladies-in-waiting"), but her newstepfather is also her algebra teacher, her mother is pregnant and vomiting, shedoesn't like her boyfriend very much, and she's convinced the real love of herlife--her best friend's older brother--thinks of her as a kid. 4-0 out of 5 stars Princess in Love
This book is the third series to the Princess Diaries. It's more in the life of 15-year old Mia Thermopolis. She has a crush on her best friend Lilybrother, Michael . She doesn't like Kenny, the guy she is dating right now, too much. She kind of thinks he is weird. Mia gets kind of jealous in this book because Michael went ice-skating with her and Lily, but he brings a date. Mia thinks she isn't attractive at all, but she also thinks she can't measure up because the girl cloned a fruit fly. To find out what else happens read the book.
5-0 out of 5 stars Princess in Love
Mia now has a boyfriend, but Kenny's not the one she wants to go out with. And she is having a hard time trying to get Michael to notice her, and she's trying to deal with all of her stress in her life, including her finals. But mostly she's trying to figure out how to dump Kenny without breaking his heart.
5-0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Mediatorseries is awesome!
This whole series was awesome. Every one was excellent. A great love story.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite in the whole series! (Spoiler Warning)
The fifth book in the Mediator Series, Haunted, is my favorite in the whole series. It's amazing and shows just how much Suze is not indestructable and how human she is and that even she can make huge mistakes. After Jeese's standoffish behavior since their kiss, Suze feels vulerable. She gets taken advantage off by Paul Slater-- the same Paul Slater whom she meet at her summer job at the golf course, and the same Paul who is now attending her school-- and ends up kissing him.SHe tries to hide it from Jesse, with no sucess.Paul also says that if she doesn't keep hanging out with him, he'll get rid of Jesse for good, which she can't let happen. After all of this-- and the fact that Father Dominic has decided that because of Jesse and Suze's "incident", Jesse must move into the rectory-- will Suze ever have Jesse admit how much he needs her?Of course!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Unique Blast
Meg Cabot's kept her promises and has added another truly fantastic book to the compelling Mediator series. Meet Susannah "Suze" Simon, whose life is getting more complicated by the minute. Her heart belongs to Jesse, a gorgeous 19th century ghost that haunts her bedroom - in a good way - but Paul Slater, who's unexpectantly turned up at the Mission and is described by his grandfather as 'the spawn of the devil' is keen to take her breath away. And, as much as Suze hates to admit it, he's succeeding.

4-0 out of 5 stars Project Princess
This book was okay. Very short, easy to read. It covers what Mia is doing on her spring break and how she has a hard time adapting to the wilderness because she is a city girl.
3-0 out of 5 stars Project Princess
It was good but not as good as her other books.A very quick read but I should have only paid a couple of dollars for it not 5.00.
2-0 out of 5 stars kinda disappointed
My daughter will love this book as she does all the Princess Diaries collection, but I am shocked I paid $5 for this book when the book comes with a *star* stating $2.99. I feel I may have gotten jipped!

5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Series
I thought this series was the best! I devoured book by book, in less than an hour. The dialogue in this book is great, and the characters are entertaining. You fall in love with Jesse, one of the main charcters, who is a ghost! That's how believable this book is. Each book in the series gets better and better. I highly recommend this book for teens, but anyone can read them. Enjoy!

Okay, this reminded me so much of Ready or Not. Just different characters.
4-0 out of 5 stars Mia is back!
Mia is back! She's starred in 7 books, 2 movies, and several self-help guides. And her life is still topsy-turvy. In the latest edition of her escapades, we rejoin Mia in the crazy, wonderful world of....wait for it.... high school! 10th grade to be exact. And she hasn't a CLUE what's going on.
1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Mia is no longer the free-spirited individual she once was. She's become obsessed with current pop culture icons and gets defensive when her English teacher disapproves of her references to them. Mia's friends react in a similar way, treating the teacher as the enemy who overstepped her bounds. This seemed pretty immature, considering that Ms. Martinez (the teacher) was only doing her job and giving Mia constructive criticism. If Mia represents Meg herself, then she's not likely to ever be taken seriously as a writer. I.E., her work isn't standing on its own. Other 'serious' authors, such as Stephen King, do use references but only to enhance the setting of their stories.

Editorial Review

Mia Thermopolis is your average urban ninth grader. Even though shelives in Greenwich Village with a single mom who is a semifamous painter, Miastill puts on her Doc Martens one at a time, and the most exciting things sheever dreams about are smacking lips with sexy senior Josh Richter, "six feet ofunadulterated hotness," and passing Algebra I. Then Mia's dad comes to town, anddrops a major bomb. Turns out he's not just a European politician as he's alwayslead her to believe, but actually the prince of a small country! And Mia, hisonly heir, is now considered the crown princess of Genovia! She doesn't evenknow how to begin to cope: "I am so NOT a princess.... You never saw anyone wholooked less like a princess than I do. I mean, I have really bad hair... and...a really big mouth and no breasts and feet that look like skis." And if thisnews wasn't bad enough, Mia's mom has started dating her algebra teacher, thepaparazzi is showing up at school, and she's in a huge fight with her bestfriend, Lilly. How much more can this reluctant Cinderella handle?Read more
