4-0 out of 5 stars Circle of Three did not enchant me but.........
I was at wits end looking for an author to replace L.J. Smith who's last book was written when the dinasours still ruled the planet and man lived in caves (since she's my favorite author it has seemed that long)! When I stumbled across The Circle of Three. The Circle of Three series is by no means boring and In the Dreaming was quite interesting but so far in the last few months I've only bought 3 from the series because I feel no urgency to get the whole series (you know where you practically fall in love with a new series and have to get them all right away? Don't have that magic feeling.) Isobel Bird's Circle of Three Series does not take flight but it will keep you up late turning the pages until you've finished this light, fun read. 5-0 out of 5 stars hhhhmmmmmmm.....
This is defently one of the more interesting books. On Midsummer's Night Annie, Cooper, and Kate go to a festival hosted by a number of covens and local Pagan groups. To say the least, none of them got what they expected. Cooper starts to doubt her involvment in Wicca, Annie starts to heal with her fear/anger with death, and Kate decides which guy! Not one to miss! Later!

5-0 out of 5 stars The best yet!
Annie, Kate, and Cooper join the Midsummer ritual. There, they call on the fae folk to grace them with their presence. But, as they go their own seperate ways, they begin to find out more about themselves then even THEY knew.Kates devotion to Tyler is put to the test when she FINALLY has to make a choice between the two.Annie has to learn that in death there is always life. And Cooper has to learn the hardest lesson of all.Is her belief in Wicca strong enough to be able to get through THIS test? One of them will be led astray...to find THAT out, you have to read it for yourself.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than book one
Sasha was the new girl in town. She met Kate, Cooper, and Annie at an Equinox gathering. She seemed to be starved for acceptance, love, and friendship. She was hard to trust though. After all, she had stolen Annie's spell book and did a spell to steal Scott away from Kate.5-0 out of 5 stars Merry *Book*
I loved this book, it weaved the teenage mind and real Wiccan info to make something every Wiccan teen would kill for. It made me feel exactly what the charecters were feeling it was written so well. When I read about how Sasha tried to make Scott break up with Kate, I nearly threw the book at the wall I was so angry. Sasha, one of the new charecters, is really hard to understand and like, I ended up almost hating her throughout the entire book. It's also full of surprises, a lot of things I would never have guessed, and something that completly made my opinion of Sasha do a 180.5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the first..AWESOM

3-0 out of 5 stars Interesting, but very predictable
In 'Second Sight' one of the trio of witches-in-training -Cooper, is getting strange visions of a young girl who has been gone for several days and is presumed dead. Gradually the visions become more and more powerful and painful, and not only does she and her friends track down the body, but take it upon themselves to find the murderer.5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Mystery, Great Plot...
This book was really interesting, my favorite of the three I read. I stopped reading the series after the third book because, well, there are just too many too keep track of! Plus, the first two books and the begining of the third are just... boring. The plot is about how a girl named Elizabeth dissapears one night, and Cooper starts getting weird dreams about her and where she might be. Cooper, in turn, takes it upon herself to find the missing teenager. Can Cooper find her? If she does- will she still be alive an undamaged? Read the book to find out (...)

5-0 out of 5 stars The girls face a new challenge
As the circle of three's year and a day draws closer to the end the girls have a lot of new challenges to face. Cooper's frightened that her mother is in danger of becoming an alchoholic. 2-0 out of 5 stars Unimpressive, by comparison.
Isobel Bird, Circle of Three: So Mote It Be (Harper, 2001)
5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Intro to Wicca
I came upon this book by accident and by the time I finished reading the series(within a week), I knew it was no accident.I just turned 13 and was already depressed about being so misunderstood. No one saw the world like I did.I grew up formulating my own beliefs, never knowing where I got them from.I was tired of being different, I felt wierd instead of unique. After I read the Circle of three series, I found Wicca and Witchcraft.I have been practicing it for almost two years now, and it has changed how I see myself. It has changed everything, but who I am, that just became so much clearer to me, and is proceeding to get clearer every day.I am so thankful to Isobel Bird's series for being there for me to find.I don't think I could of handled the introduction to Wicca without it.It was an amazing series with perfectly developed characters and real information on Wicca, not Hollywood style. There should be more teen fiction like this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Series
I have only read the first two books in the Circle of Three series so far, but it's fast becoming one of my favorites! The characters are great and the storyline keeps you interested. I can't wait to read the rest of the books! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars "You Can Never Really Know What's True"
As the second to last book in the "Circle of Three" series, our three witches-in-training are on the last leg before their initiation. Kate, Annie and Cooper have nearly completed the year-and-a-day of study in the field of modern witchcraft, and now only one last challenge awaits them: the aptly named Challenge Box.
5-0 out of 5 stars 3 cheers for Isobel!!
I had almost given up on the entire series, because number 11 was so bad and number 12 quite preachy. Then, as I had a bit of time in the library, I read this one figuring they couldn't get any worse. I wasn't disappointed. 5-0 out of 5 stars Cooper, Kate, and Annie's Final challenges
The challenge box is a strange thing. It's a small box filled with slips of paper which have certain challenges written onto it that Kate, Cooper, and Annie have to take in order to become initiated. Each of them has a challenge but it may be harder to complete than they ever imagined. Kate find herself plagues with questions that challenge her faith and beliefs. She wants to become a witch but is she ready? She's faced with another challenge when she's forced to work on yet another project with Sherrie, the girls she despises the most. Annie has finally meet her older sister in New Orleans and she and Cooper are immersed in the rich culture of New Orleans. But there's a question in the back of Annie's mind. Will he sister accept her if she knew she was Wiccan? And Cooper finds herself facing many things that she's uncomfortable or afraid of. Will she have the courage to face her greatest fear?Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I agree with Nancy and Aurora completely!!!!!!
While Ms. Bird made me worried as one or two of her books were shaky, this one is well written. Cooper learns something about Jane, Annie learns something about her family, and Tyler wants to get back together with Kate. Cooper's mom is having a bit of trouble with the whold divorce thing, Kate confronts her brother, and Annie gets totally freaked by astrology. Well, I'm sure there are things I've left out, but you should read the book if you want details and answers! Later!

But through this study Annie discovers something new and shocking. There may just be another piece of her parents left in the world. 3-0 out of 5 stars Too horror-like
This book was somewhat disappointing to me.2-0 out of 5 stars getting dull
I have liked others in the series, but this one just didn't click for me. The 'twist' at the end was extreamly easy to guess. Her passive writing style is also beginning to grate, it's far too preachy and contained. The book didn't do anything good with the characters at all. Isobel's writing is losing it's spark, and I think she's relying to much on the fact that the girls are studying Wicca, instead of the real storyline. If you plan to buy this book just to see what type of Yule lore there is, and ideas for rituals, save your money. And if you still want to read it, get it out from the library.4-0 out of 5 stars Close but no cigar
Hello again from sunny California I give this book 4 stars. Please do don't think I'm being to harsh first hear me out.Like other of her book's it was full of magic and suspense. But yet it felt like it missed something. The house of Winter is about when the four girls set of for a weekend at the "Haunted Hotel"with the rest of their class. They meet the hotel owner's twin daughter's who have seen a ghost {Mary}who is traped in a diffrent dimension she must complete her buisness in order to be released and finally be in peace. But one of the sisters does not want her to be released and will do anything not to see it happen.Which sister is trust worthy and which one is just seeking for their own personal advange. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great part of the series.
I just finished reading Making the saint and let me say i loved it. Once again we find Kate, Cooper, and Annie on there never ending journey on the Wiccan path. I really enjoyed how Isobel told more about the other pagan religions. I had no idea there was a religion called Santira. I also found the religion to be very intresting. Out of the whole series i think this one is my favorite but then again i havent read the whole series. I think that all of the books that ive read in the series have been wonderful and well written. I was a little depressed to realize that i only have 5 books left in the series. Isobel, when ru gonna give us some more books. Well i cant wait to read the next book IN THE HOUSE OF WINTER. Also i think the covers of the book become so much more beautiful as the series go on. I can't wait to see what else Isobel has in store for the girls. Till next time.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Circle of Three book yet!
This was the best of the Circle of Three books I've read.It combines some soap opera (but not too much), and action, and the lesson learned is really valuable.I really liked it because I am a total sap and love it when love drama happens, which describes this Circle of Three book perfectly!

5-0 out of 5 stars loads of wierdness
Kate is once again able to attend the Wicca classes with her friends Cooper and Annie. But then she gets an assignment to research another religion called Santeria. She is blown away by the context of Santeria, and even more when one of the orishnas of the religion recognizes her as an omo-Oggun, the orishna's child (not biologically, lol).Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars "The Veil Has Been Rent. Will You Pass Through?"
"Through the Veil" is the ninth book in the "Circle of Three" series, which chronicles three teenagers' journey through a year-and-a-day of discovering and exploring Wicca. If you haven't yet come across these books, I suggest you stop reading now and head back to book number one "So Mote It Be", as the books are very closely tied together and it's near impossible to read them out of chronological order (which is annoying, but there you go).
5-0 out of 5 stars This series is great.
This series teaches a lot about growing up and about Wicca. This book provies a lot of information on holloween and the religion that Kate, Annie, and Cooper practice.

4-0 out of 5 stars Making new friends, understanding the old ones better
This addition to the Circle of Three series focused on Annie quite nicely. It suspensfully and in a heart touching way, introduced elements which helped her to continue to heal her inner pain concerning her parents death.Read more
