4-0 out of 5 stars All these books are great
I love all of these books but since Jalil is my least favorite character except for Senna. I didn't really like this one as much as the others. It had some pretty interesting twists though. Eshu was a real pain in the butt. I love what they did to Senna. She deserves it. Everone that loves Science Fiction has got to love this series. I can't wait till I can read number 9.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another fine installment
In this book, Jalil tells it all as he, Christopher, David, April, and Senna travel across a seemingly African plain, on a mission for the Goddess Athena: find Senna's mother, a witch who supposedly has enough power to open gateways between the universes.Along the way they have plenty of problems of their own, mostly revolving around Senna, who we're pretty sure now is at least a partial enemy.Jalil has a few real world difficulties as well (such as getting a date, hee hee). The characters are real as ever, and the discriptions vivid as always, but as a warning to those younger than fourteen or so, this one is also exceptionally gory, even more so than usual.

5-0 out of 5 stars This series gets the kids reading
After your kids have read Harry Potter, introduce them to this series. A diverse group of kids is gathered together by a young witch with a plan...each book is in another place within Everworld. There is HISTORY of ancient culture to be learned here in each exhilarating tale! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Understanding the Unknown
Understanding the Unknown begins with David telling the tail of how him and his four friends get shipwrecked and fall to Neptune's world. Here they must kill sharks, tell jokes, and do daring feets to find their way back to land. They start out by gitting on Neptune's good side and sabotozing Merlin's plan to take Senna. They then steal water carriages from Mermen and try to make it to the surface again. They find themsilves in Atlantis where they end up in court for illegal entry into Atlantis. They tell their tai and go to the surface to then find another moster awaiting for them.4-0 out of 5 stars An excellent series edition...
While all of the books in this series are exciting, this one I really didn't want to put down! While I didn't think it was better than the previous one, Inside the Illusion, this was definatelly worth the read. What made this book special was actually what originally gave the series it's charm, and what's been missing for several books. The hilarious interactions between the main characters! At times I was laughing out loud!Anyway, David narrates this time as the kids try to make their way back to Olympus by tagging along with a few Romans on their ship.A storm strikes suddenly, courtesy of Neptune, the angry Roman god of oceans, and when their boat sinks out from under them, they find themselves in the middle of Atlantis, caught in a war between Neptune and Poseidon.Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this book if you haven't read the others, or to kids younger than thirteen or so, since it gets pretty intense at times.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the Best, but Okay
I started reading the book awhile ago and it wasn't as good as the other nine books, so I quit reading it.I just got it again and finally finished it.It was better then I thought it would be.The series is about five kids trapped in Everworld, a world of ancient gods and their domains. Each book is about a different place in Everworld."Understand the Unknown" is about an underwater world with the god, Neptune.David, one of the five, narrated the story which is about the kids trying to get to the surface.I thought the book was 'just average' because there wasn't much adventure and it was hard to get into it.When I finally got into it, it was better. The series is great. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Such a touching book
This was so saddening.I read a lot of books that involve depressing deaths and cancer. This one was especially good.It was tender and heartfelt at all the right moments and you could feel her pain. The end is expected, but yet its incredibly sad when you get there.

3-0 out of 5 stars Stefanie Sears from Wheat Ridge High School
When Seth Warner engaged to Summer on prom night everyone was so excited for them.Summer was the most excited one even though she was not going to see him all summer. Summer was so scared that Seth would find a new girl while he was on vacation, but in fact Seth should of been the one to worry.Although she did tell Seth that there was this guy(Austin) that still kept in touch with her and how they had a thing over Spring Break. She didn't dare to tell him that she was going to see him over the summer. When Summer go's to the Crab Claw Key in Florida she see's Austin and starts to relize that she's starting to like him again but then she lookes down and see's that she's engaged. In the end of the summer does she like Austin or Seth?I would'nt recommend this book just because it moves slowly.

4-0 out of 5 stars not bad
not exactly the ending i expected but it works. only i wouldve liked to find out what happens next.

2-0 out of 5 stars An ending?
I will split this review into two parts: the plot and its place in the series of Everworld. First, about the plot. Hey, the story was not bad, it's just they too easily beat Hel. I dont think Hel even tried her best. That got one star off for not being exciting enough. Second and lastly, it's place in the series. This is where matters start to go bad. I think it leaves the same number of questions unanswered in our minds, if not more. Like, what actually happened to David when he was small? How did Senna turn Jalil obsessive compulsive? Who is that stopped Jalil being obsessive compulsive in Everworld? And some new ones, such as how will Christopher and Etain turn out? Will they meet the Greek gods again? And the most important question of all: How will Everworld turn out? This got two stars off. I don't think this is much like an ending.

4-0 out of 5 stars Captivating and Gripping
After reading this, I knew it was my favorite book. Yes, the ending was rushed, but still, the author was so descriptive, I was there. Literally, I was living in this alternate reality. I loved it. Unfortunately, I haven't read any of the previous ones, and I won't now because I know the ending. But this book definetely deserves an A.

it is a wonderful book for the ages from 13-14 years old i liked it and it was a book that seemed like it was my reading level i really hope that everyone who reads this reads the book after and like the book.

3-0 out of 5 stars SEARCH FOR SENNA is a so-so beginning to the EverWorld series; it could've been better.
Being a big fan of Animorphs by K.A. Applegate, I was recommended by my friends to try out Applegate's other series, EverWorld. I heard good things about it, so I picked up SEARCH FOR SENNA from the library hoping it would be just as good as the Animorphs books, if not better. Unfortunately, it was nowhere near as good as Animorphs. There was just so many things wrong with this book that I wondered if K.A. Applegate was focused when writing it. There were many good things about this book that fantasy novels should have, like mysterious creatures such as unicorns and terribly-confused characters. However, there were also many horrible details, like characters totally out-of-character and lack of explaining.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great book!
While this series is no great work of literature, it's definately worth reading. The characters are extremelly well defined and developed, and I find myself liking all of them, even Christopher, more and more. The author herself has an almost bizarre understanding of teenagers, and she writes it just like it is.Anyway, in book six, the point of view swings back to Christopher, and he tells the tale as the four kids travel across Hetwan country, at the center of which is the inevitable Ka Anor, God Eater. They are soon joined by Dionysis, Greek god of wine, and his unbearably handsome young cup-bearer, Ganymeade, who convince them to accompany them to Olympus.Christopher's real world dilemma was interesting as well, but that would be a spoiler and a rather ironic one at that, so I will leave you to read the book yourself to find out the rest. These books are pretty intense, so I can't say I'd recommend them to anyone younger than thirteen or fourteen or so.

5-0 out of 5 stars A GREAT BOOK IF YOU LIKE ANIMORPHS
This is a great book if you liked Animorphs. When Applegate decided to stop Animorphs I was bummed but then she made Everworld. This was the first book I've bought and I didn't think it would be that good but it is!!If Amazon had ten stars for this review I would give it an eleven!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars It is the best Christopher book and it has the best plot
Christopher is my favortie character so of course I would would like this book but then they added some greek mythology and I was hooked.Another factor is they travel to Ka-Anor's city and see Ka-Anor eat someone and discover that Ka-Anor is fear himself.Since they first mentioned Ka-Anor in the first book I've been wanting to meet him.THis is also the first book I've been interested in the real world part of the book I won't talk about it or I might ruin it for someone.I loved this book and I reccomend it to anyone! ... Marco thinks its about Zero space. Yeerks are trying to attack earth but Marco is not going to surrender to the Yeerks. He will do his best to save earth. What I like about this book is it has alot of dialogue.I recommend this book to young children.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Sure
I liked this book, especially the ending, but as I and many people have said, this isn't up to the usual Animorph quality. I still liked it though, and it ia a definate must-read for all Animorphs fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Eleventh Book in the Making Out Series
For supposedly being a book about 19-year-old Benjamin Passmore (one of my favorite characters in the Making Out series), "Ben Takes a Chance" seldom revolves around him. Instead, it follows the various love problems brewing among the other Chatham Island teens. For starters, Zoey Passmore was found making out with Aaron Mendel in "Nina Shapes Up" (#10) while she was still dating Lucas Cabral (major dj vu here; remember her cheating on Jake McRoyan at the beginning of this series in "Zoey Fools Around"?). Next is Aisha Gray and Christopher Shupe. He's recently proposed to Aisha and has been pressuring her to give him a yes or no answer before he ships out in January. (He's in the army.) Personally, I don't think they should marry, but we'll see.4-0 out of 5 stars Claire and Aaron belong together
Aaron is quite sneaky. He wanted that confrontation between himself and Lucas to take place.Lucas is so blinded by the anger that he doesn't see it.However, I am sure that Claire knows what it really going on for she plays games more than a little bit.5-0 out of 5 stars Ben

4-0 out of 5 stars The vacation from hades
I kind of feel sorry for Zoey.So far, none of her ideas have really panned out.The party ended in disaster and this vacation is turmoil.Well, except for Aisha running into christopher.Claire and Benjamin are mad foul.I have not really been crazy about Claire from the beginning; however, I really don't like her now.She has no right to ruin her fathers life, because someone else complicated hers. She needs to take it out on Aaron not her father and Sarah.4-0 out of 5 stars who loves kate?
I have read almost the whole series an dhave found the books both interesting and real. I especially liked the way Nina and her abuse situation was handled. This book was slightly dissapointing but I can assure you the series does get better. Nina needs to stop being such a pushover and ben a jerk which does happen. Being a teen my self I have found the series to be very real and acurate. I was dissapointed when the series ended and wish katherine would right some more. I encourage anyone to read from the beginning as it is a very good series.

5-0 out of 5 stars CLASSIC
It just keeps getting more and more better.Aaron gets busted with Kate.Kate gets her nose busted.Aisha is finding herself in a little bit of a man situation. The only thing missing was Mendel vs. Cabral. You can feel the tention when these guys get within 200 yards of each other, let alone being 2 inches from one another.Benjamin really needs to get over himself.I once thought he was a great. He was in my top ten all time great novel characters. Now he is no my all time...[bad] novel characters list. However, I do wish Lucas would have connected with Aaron instead of Kate.I am still a K-berger fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Aaron Lets Go...One of the best
What can you say about this book without giving anything away? This is an awesome story line, filled with everything you've come to expect from Katherine Applegate in this series. I loved this book because we have a new main character introduced and we get to see things from his view point. Asalways, it has the emotional roller coaster so many of us have to do dealwith. People are falling in and out of love, and making and breakingfriendships. Excitement at one hundred miles an hour.

3-0 out of 5 stars A great book and a Suspenseful series...
I loved the book!!!Zoey however, was not herself in the book, which is understandable. She was really full of herself (which is not understandable). I think that Lucas and Nina should end up together. I really saw them as a good couple in "Always Loving Zoey" Even thought they weren't a couple. I just think that Zoey was not sensitive to her boyfriend's needs (Lucas Cabral),seeing since his father just died, she needs to be there for him. The book was so good I cried the whole way through (I am a big cry baby). The circumstances are horrible and I only hope that there will be an uplift of spirit for all of the Island folks and something good will happen to all so I am waiting to see what happens in ... "Falling For Claire" ~Claire Ashley

5-0 out of 5 stars Best one yet!
I love Katherine Applegates Making out series but I think that this onewas one of the best ones yet.I have to admit that I didn't like Don'tForget Lara #25 as well as some others because lara has never been myfavorite..my favorites being Lucus, Zoey, Nina and Claire..which is most ofthem really, but this one was a page turner to see if Zoey would forgiveLucus and Nina, how Ben and Zoey would handle the stress of the resturantand their parents, if Claire would start being nicer to Paolo, how Aishaand her new roomie are getting along..all in all each character hadsomething interesting going on in which I couldn't wait to see how itturned out.

5-0 out of 5 stars great book but zoey's so stuck-up in it!
i can't believe lara died! i cried when it happened in the last book and icried at the funeral scene and in the nina/ben closet scene and... well, itupset me. and lucas was right at the funeral- zoey was acting so full ofherself and her own problems when lara, a great character, was DEAD! shealways jumped right to the conclusion that nina and lucas were doing itagain whenever she saw them together! zoey is so full of herself. myfavorite part was the plot with claire. a guy, paolo, has been SERIOUSLYbugging her thoughout the book! i think it's cool how much he likes her!she's aways been my favorite character and i think it's so funny how muchhe bugs her!! this book totally deserves 5 stars!!! the only problem isthat there are only two more book in the series after this one!!!!waaaaaaaaaa!!!=) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Ben needs to shape up
I understand wants to go through with this alone. However, he allowed Nina to come with him during the test and he even slept with her.So why doesn't he quit being selfish and let his woman be by his side and quit acting like it is pity.I like Ben; but, he is messing up.As for Zoey, well history does repeat itself. These were similar circumstances that lead to her and Jake breaking up.Aaron is a bit manipulative, but that is what Lucas gets for pushing the sex issue with Zoey.If he would have been intelligent enough to back off the other 100 times Zoey said no, this situation would no exist.5-0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK WAS GREAT!!!!!
I think the Making out Series of books are great!! I hope Ben's surgery goes well so he can see again. I just finished it and I recomend it to everyone who likes a good romance/teen novel. Lara and Jake should definatly stay together and I hope Lara can stop her drinking problem. My least favorite character is Clair. She is sooooo mean. Me and my friends have all started reading the books. Some of them are really hard to find though cause they are out of print!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this series!
OMG these are the best books! I just got done reading Nina Shapes Up and I think it's the best one yet! Nina and Benjamin are my fave island couple, they are so in love (even tho I peeked at a review 4 a later book and it said they break up and now Nina is with LUCAS of all people...I hope sheand Ben get back 2ge+her!). NEwayz, the point of this book is that Benfinds out about a blindness reversal surgery project in Boston. He and Ninarun away so he can have tests done 2 see if he's eligible. Thensomething...*surprising* happens between him and Nina. You'll just have 2read it 2 find out! If you plan 2 read this one start w/ Zoey Fools Aroundand work your way up...you'll get more out of it that way! C-ya later! -Sara -<3- ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Book #9 in the Making Out Series
It's Thanksgiving vacation on Chatham Island, Maine, time for families to come together and be thankful for their everyday blessings--well, in theory. Except this holiday, the Passmore and Geiger families will be tested on how strong their bonds are when they welcome a new sibling, a possible new boyfriend, and a father's new girlfriend to the table. Yes, let the drama begin. ;)5-0 out of 5 stars Zoey 's naive
In book 8,I felt that Zoey forgave Lucas a bit too quickly.I understand her confusion at seeing her parents together after all that confusion errupted on book 6.However, she is naive to think that she could just forgive and not deal with the issues.5-0 out of 5 stars please katherine write a number 29!you're books are so great

bens in love was a really good book. it adress's issues that i liek to read about in books. its not just a book about sex and love, it also hass friendship, family, and culture issues thrown in there too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Two sisters, one boy
Ben's in love with two girls who just happen to be sisters. He's in love with Claire, his ex-girlfriend, and her sister, Nina, his long time great friend. He tries to sort out how he really feels and in the end, I think he's learned who he truly loves...for now.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ben and Nina
I really like Ben and Nina as a couple.I think they are the perfect match. They are both sarcastic and witty.I think Lucas is going to let his hormones get him in trouble ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It is on and Poppin
Once agian it is on.Lara new very well that she was going to tell Zoey anyway. She just simply strung Nina and Lucas along. She was hoping that Lucas and Nina would mess up, so that she could tell. Lucas and Nina should have told the truth. Christopher needs to quit being such a jerk to his sister. It is not her fault that Aisha was a bit more intelligent than he thought. Her suspicions would not be aroused, if he had not been so rude and mean to his sister and had just been honest. He created his own misery and he deserves to be miserable.Kendra should never talk or look at him for the rest of his pathetic life.Christopher just made my loser list right behind Benjamin, and Sean

5-0 out of 5 stars This series is great!
Well...Zoey is a focus of most of the books because she is the main character.Isn't there usually one main character is most books??She is the sister of one character, best friend of the other two, girlfriend of one..she ties everyone together.I think these books are very good..they are easy to read, but still leave you feeling something for these characters after you finish reading them.I think its horrible that Lucus and Nina would do that to Zoey, and I don't think that they are good for each other like Lucus and Zoey were.I do like Nina, but I think that she is good for Benjamin.I would recomend these books to everyone, they are a great read.(...)

4-0 out of 5 stars And off to college they go..
I do actually feel quite sorry for Zoey. I mean, even though everyone thinks she is so self-centered and all, she has had a pretty rough time of it in parts too. I hope she and Lucas get back together tho'. Lara made thewhole 'Lucas & Nina's kiss' situation way out of proportion. PersonallyI'm not a Lara fan. The whole stalker thing was a good storyline for Claireas she is usually made out to be the bad guy, or girl I should say, in thesituation. Claire is definately one of my favourites. I hope to see moreabout Kate in the future. With the whole depression thing, I'd like to seesome good things happening to her.. and with Jake. ... Read more
